Perez went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Perez had gone 4-for-23 (.174) with two RBI over his previous six games. He broke out of that small slump in this contest, supplying a two-run double in the fifth inning and an RBI single in the ninth to account for half of the Royals' runs. The catcher has showed some signs of aging in his age-35 season, batting .237 with a .670 OPS, nine home runs, 46 RBI, 19 runs scored and 22 doubles across 81 games. He last had an OPS under .700 for a full year in 2014 -- given his track record, he could turn things around to close out 2025.

Jansen went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk Tuesday against the Athletics.

Jansen smacked a solo home run in the seventh inning, his ninth long ball of the season. He's homered five times across his last 18 starts, also tallying 13 RBI and 11 runs scored in that span. Jansen remains the primary catcher for the Rays, though Matt Thaiss still gets plenty of starts.

Heim went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a walk in Tuesday's 10-4 victory over the Orioles.

Heim tallied his 13th multi-hit effort of the season. The switch-hitting backstop has been mired in a brutal slump -- he has a .464 OPS across his last 101 plate appearances -- but he should still serve as Texas' primary catcher moving forward. Backup Kyle Higashioka hasn't performed much better at the plate recently, posting a .490 OPS over his last 86 plate appearances.

Sanchez will receive X-rays on his finger after getting hit on his finger by a ball Tuesday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

A foul tip connected with Sanchez's finger in the eighth inning, which caused him to leave the game early for a pinch hitter in the ninth. Interim manager Tony Mansolino said after the game that there's minimal concern surrounding Sanchez's finger, so the X-rays are most likely a precautionary measure. If the 32-year-old backstop is unable to play Wednesday, Jacob Stallings would fill in behind the plate.

The Orioles placed Tromp (back) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

The 30-year-old is now the third catcher on Baltimore's injured list, joining Adley Rutschman (oblique) and Maverick Handley (concussion). Tromp will be eligible to be reinstated July 11, though it's unclear if he's expected to be healthy by that point. Jacob Stallings was added to the MLB roster Tuesday to serve as the backup to Gary Sanchez.

The Orioles selected Stallings' contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

The veteran backstop inked a minor-league deal with Baltimore on June 24, and he'll make his way to the majors a week later to shore up the big club's catching depth. Stallings should handle the No. 2 job behind fill-in starter Gary Sanchez with Chadwick Tromp (back) landing on the injured list.

Jeffers is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Miami.

Jeffers started the last two contests (one at catcher, one at designated hitter), but will get a breather for Tuesday's series opener. Christian Vazquez will do the catching and bat ninth for the Twins.

Wells said after Monday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays that he is dealing with arterial damage in his left index finger, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Wells revealed that the damage to an artery -- which is believed to be the result of repeated impacts of catching pitches -- means the finger sometimes "gets cold and changes colors." Tests have ruled out blood clots, and the issue is not considered a long-term concern. Wells will remain out of the lineup for a third straight game Tuesday but is expected to start Wednesday's contest.

Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 6-2 win over the Royals.

Raleigh didn't get a whole lot of chances to swing in the latter half of the Mariners' recent 10-game road trip. He clubbed five homers over the first four games of the trip, then went 5-for-21 with eight walks over the remaining six contests. The Royals didn't shy away from pitching to Raleigh, and he made them pay, first with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning and then a solo shot in the seventh. Even with the brief power drought recently, Raleigh still leads the majors with 33 homers, three ahead of the Yankees' Aaron Judge. Raleigh has added a career-best .276/.387/.649 slash line while supplying 71 RBI, 60 runs scored, nine stolen bases and 16 doubles over 83 contests. His next homer will tie his career high for a single season.

Tromp has been diagnosed with a lower back strain and is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Tromp was removed from Monday night's eventual extra-innings win over the Rangers in the third inning. Gary Sanchez had to take over at catcher, and Texas went 4-for-4 on stolen bases afterward. Adley Rutschman (oblique) and Maverick Handley (concussion) are still on the injured list for the Orioles. Top prospect Samuel Basallo remains at Triple-A Norfolk, where he's slashing .264/.390/.579 with 16 home runs, 37 RBI and 37 runs scored across 218 plate appearances. Veteran Jacob Stallings is also in Norfolk. Neither catcher is currently on the 40-man roster.
