Perez is not starting Saturday against Detroit, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Perez owns an excellent 1.304 OPS over his last eight games, hitting four home runs over that stretch. His 11 homers on the season are already three more than his previous career high. Kevin Plawecki will start behind the dish in his place.

Vazquez is not in Saturday's lineup against the Orioles, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

After a mini slump, Vazquez has seven hits in his last four games. Sandy Leon will start behind the dish, hitting ninth.

Garver went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's 2-0 win over the Royals.

His eighth-inning blast off Jake Diekman accounted for the only offense in a game that featured just six total hits. Garver is now slashing .318/.405/.691 with 11 homers and 28 RBI over 33 games.

Narvaez went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and another pair of runs scored in Friday's 9-2 win over the A's.

Narvaez launched a two-run blast off reliever Wei-Chung Wang in the seventh inning to extend Seattle's lead to 6-2. The homer marked his 10th of the season through 190 plate appearances, surpassing his previous best of nine long balls through 90 additional at-bats in 2018 with the White Sox. Overall, Narvaez is batting .284/.363/.468 with 32 runs scored and 25 RBI.

Perez went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's game against the Tigers.

Perez doubled home a pair of runs in the fourth inning, and he reached base twice more before the night was over. The 30-year-old backstop was 0-for-6 at the dish over his last two contests entering the day, but he managed to show some life with a multi-hit performance.

Maldonado is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Maldonado started the last four games behind the plate but will sit for Friday's series opener in Minnesota. Cam Gallagher will catch for Brad Keller and bat eighth in his absence.

Jansen is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Houston.

Jansen is coming off his first three-hit game of the season but will nonetheless take a seat Friday. Luke Maile will start behind the plate and bat ninth in the series opener.

Jansen went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

The Jays piled up 17 hits and 12 runs on the night, so even hitting at the bottom of the order provided Jansen with plenty of opportunities to produce. The catcher has had a miserable season at the plate, stumbling to a .532 OPS through 49 games, but he does have two multi-hit performances in his last three starts -- including Thursday's season-high three knocks.

Garver is not in Thursday's lineup against the Mariners.

The slugging catcher will sit for the fourth time in 10 games since coming off the injured list. He is hitting .296 with one home run and 13 strikeouts over that stretch. Jason Castro will start behind the dish and hit eighth.

Jansen is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Orioles.

Jansen has hit .111/.238/.167 over his last 12 games, dragging his season line down to .170/.259/.252. Luke Maile, who starts Wednesday, isn't a significant threat to cut further into Jansen's playing time, as he owns a similarly awful .173/.225/.267 slash line.
