Walls was in the lineup for the fourth time in the Rays' last five games, and he tallied his eighth homer of the season in the eighth inning against Phil Maton. He has tallied a home run and a stolen base with four runs scored in that same five-game span. Walls also had two long balls, three stolen bases and 12 runs scored across 23 games in September, though he hit just .185 for the month.

Hayes went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Friday against the Cardinals.
Hayes reached base on a single in the eighth inning and proceeded to steal second base. He has 19 stolen bases on the season, five of which have come across 21 games in September. For the season, Hayes has maintained a disappointing .246/.316/.350 line across 544 plate appearances.

LeMahieu isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Orioles.
LeMahieu returned from the injured list for Friday's series opener against the Orioles, but he went 0-for-3 in the loss. Gleyber Torres will draw the start at the keystone and bat third Saturday.

Riley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 win over the Mets.
Riley was the first of back-to-back homers with Matt Olson in the second inning Friday, putting Atlanta on the board. Riley has 38 homers on the year, which has him tied with Mike Trout for fourth in baseball. It was Riley's sixth homer in September. The third baseman has struggled this month, batting .206 with 28 strikeouts. During that span, his season batting average dropped from .289 to .275.

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Blasts 29th homer
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Royals.
Every Guardian hitter had exactly one hit Friday, but Ramirez made his count the most with a three-run, go-ahead blast in the sixth inning. The third baseman struggled a bit in September, batting .229 with three homers, four steals, 16 RBI and 15 runs scored across 29 contests. He's still slashing an impressive .274/.351/.512 with 29 homers, 122 RBI, 87 runs scored and 18 steals in 153 contests overall. He needs just one more long ball to reach the 30-homer mark for the third time in his career.

Giants' Evan Longoria: Mashes out of slump
Longoria went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Longoria hadn't homered since Aug. 23, going 26 games without a long ball. He had just two multi-hit efforts in that span, but he ended the quiet stretch with a massive performance. He knocked a go-ahead three-run blast in the first inning and tacked on a two-run shot in the second. Longoria is up to 14 homers, 41 RBI, 31 runs scored and 13 doubles through 88 contests this year.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Three hits in return
Moncada (foot) went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 3-1 win over the Padres.
Moncada missed the last two games due to a bone bruise on his foot. The third baseman played the full game Friday and was effective from the No. 6 spot in the order. He put up six multi-hit efforts in 19 games in September, going 24-for-82 (.293) for the month. He's slashing just .218/.282/.364 with 12 home runs, 50 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases through 99 contests overall.

Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Back in majors
Kennedy was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Friday.
Kennedy, who turns 24 on the final day of the regular season, slashed .261/.363/.385 with seven home runs in 93 games at Triple-A this season and has a .626 OPS through 80 at-bats in the majors. This is the corresponding move to Ketel Marte going on the injured list, so Kennedy could see time at second base over the final days of the season.

Angels' Matt Duffy: Not in Friday's lineup
Duffy isn't starting Friday against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Duffy started the last three games and went 3-for-10 with two runs, an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts. He'll get a breather while Luis Rengifo starts at the hot corner and leads off.

Moncada (foot) is starting at third base and batting sixth Friday against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
After missing the last two games due to a bone bruise on the top of his foot, Moncada is officially good to go again. He will return to face Yu Darvish, whom he is 1-for-9 against in his career with four strikeouts.
