Muncy went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBI in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Muncy didn't take long to extend his on-base streak and hitting streak to 11 and nine games, respectively. After walking in his first plate appearance in the bottom of the first inning, Muncy delivered a two-run double in his third trip to the plate in the fourth. Muncy closed August with a .253/.388/.494 slash line to go with four home runs, 18 RBI and 15 runs in 23 games.

Peraza is out of the lineup for Thursday's contest in Detroit, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Peraza has taken over as the Yankees' regular third baseman since being promoted from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last week, but he'll begin the series finale in Detroit on the bench. Oswaldo Cabrera will occupy the hot corner as the Yankees go for the series sweep.

LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in a 6-2 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday.

LeMahieu belted a 411-foot solo shot in the second inning to give New York a 3-0 lead. It was the continuation of a surprising recent uptick in power by the veteran infielder, who has gone deep five times (all solo shots) over his past eight contests. Prior to the surge, LeMahieu had hit just eight homers over his initial 104 games this season.

Hayes is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Royals.

Hayes has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball in recent weeks, boasting a .366/.422/.683 batting line with six home runs and 19 RBI over his last 20 games. He'll grab a routine night off Wednesday as Vinny Capra fills in at third base for the visiting Pirates.

Bride remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Though he seemed to have supplanted Jordan Diaz as the Athletics' primary third baseman last week, Bride now finds himself on the bench for the fourth consecutive game. While starting each of the five games before that, Bride went 3-for-15 with a double and a pair of walks, so he didn't exactly stake a strong claim to a regular spot in the Oakland lineup.

Davis is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Reds, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

He had started each of the last seven games but will get a break Wednesday as Casey Schmitt occupies the hot corner. Davis has managed just a .583 OPS since the All-Star break.

Senzel will start in left field and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Senzel will stick in the lineup for the third game in a row, with all of his starts coming out of the corner outfield. His brief run as a regular in the Cincinnati outfield could come to an end as soon as Friday, when the Reds are likely to get Jake Fraley (toe) back from the 10-day injured list.

Moustakas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

With lefty Cristopher Sanchez taking the hill for the Phillies, the lefty-hitting Moustakas will retreat to the bench. Eduardo Escobar will step in as the hot corner in place of Moustakas.

Kieboom went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.

The third baseman got the Nationals on the board in the second inning, crushing a first-pitch sinker from Jose Berrios into the stands in left field. Since returning to the big-league roster Aug. 20, Kieboom has gone yard three times in six games while batting .273 (6-for-22). Washington will give the 25-year-old every chance to prove he can still be a part of the team's future after he missed the entire 2022 campaign and most of 2023 due to multiple injuries, including Tommy John surgery in May 2022.

Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Guardians.

Lewis got the Twins on the board Tuesday with a solo blast off Hunter Gaddis in the fourth inning, cutting the deficit to 3-1. It's Lewis' third straight game with a homer and his fifth long ball in his last seven contests. Since returning from the IL on Aug. 15, the 24-year-old infielder's batting .294 (15-for-51) with a 1.026 OPS. Overall, he's slashing a robust .315/.363/.534 with nine homers, 29 RBI, 21 runs scored and two stolen bases across 157 plate appearances this season.
