  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Productive in return to Seattle

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's 6-0 win over the Rangers.

Suarez made his presence felt in his first appearance since landing back with the Mariners, doubling and then scoring the game's first run in the fourth inning. Suarez might miss working from hitter-friendly Chase Field -- the All-Star third baseman posted a 1.011 OPS in 54 home games with Arizona -- but he should have plenty of RBI chances going forward despite shifting to pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park with Seattle.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Reds' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Homers in Reds debut

Hayes went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Thursday's 12-11 loss to Atlanta.

After homering just once in 392 plate appearances with the Pirates this year, Hayes went deep in his first game with the Reds, kick-starting Cincinnati's rally in an eight-run eighth inning. Hayes, whose previous homer came June 10, is slashing .235/.278/.297 with 39 RBI, 35 runs scored and 10 stolen bases this season. While Hayes plays excellent defense at third base, he could find himself in a part-time role after the Reds made another trade for Miguel Andujar on Thursday.

  • Will Wagner 2B | SD

Padres' Will Wagner: Optioned to minors

Wagner was optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Thursday.

Wagner was dealt from the Blue Jays to the Padres on Thursday but is currently blocked by both Ryan O'Hearn and Gavin Sheets. That leaves him without a spot in the big leagues, though that could change prior to the close of the regular season. Across 132 plate appearances with Toronto, Wagner hit .237/.336/.298 with a 15:26 BB:K.

  • Marcelo Mayer SS | BOS

Red Sox's Marcelo Mayer: Lack of clarity on injury

The Red Sox are still collecting information about the nature of Mayer's wrist injury, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Mayer was placed on the injured list Friday due to a wrist sprain after undergoing an MRI. The results of that imaging are apparently unclear, leaving Mayer with a murky timeline to return despite being first eligible for activation August 4.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Dealing with calf issue

Jung is out of Thursday's lineup against the Mariners due to calf soreness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

It sounds as if the Rangers are taking a cautious approach with Jung, and he may be out for a longer portion of the team's weekend series against the Mariners. He is not expected to require a stint on the injured list for the time being, however. Rowdy Tellez entered the lineup at first base in Jung's absence, while Josh Smith shifted to third base.

  • Parks Harber 3B | SF

Giants' Parks Harber: Traded to Giants

Harber (undisclosed) was traded from the Yankees to the Giants on Thursday along with Jesus Rodriguez and Trystan Vrieling in exchange for Camilo Doval, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

Harber has been on the injured list since mid-June with an undisclosed injury. Prior to that, the 23-year-old corner infielder slashed .326/.395/.489 with three home runs and two steals in 34 games at High-A.

  • Miguel Andujar RF | CIN

Reds' Miguel Andujar: Dealt to Cincy

The Reds acquired Andujar from the Athletics on Thursday in exchange for right-hander Kenya Huggins, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

After hitting two home runs Wednesday in what will end up being his final game with the Athletics, Andujar will pack his bags and leave for Cincinnati. Although the Reds acquired Ke'Bryan Hayes from Pittsburgh on Wednesday and will likely lean on him as its primary third baseman. Andujar's .765 OPS should make him a viable backup option on days when the Reds want to prioritize offense at the hot corner. Andujar is also capable of playing either corner-outfield spot as well as designated hitter, though his right-handedness could force him to settle for the short side of a platoon with Jake Fraley, Gavin Lux or Will Benson.

  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Angels' Oswald Peraza: Traded to Halos

The Yankees traded Peraza to the Angels on Thursday, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

In exchange for Peraza, the Yankees received Wilberson De Pena and international bonus money from the Angels, per Joel Sherman of the New York Post. Peraza lost playing time with the Yankees after New York acquired Ryan McMahon but should find some playing time with a struggling Angels team.

  • Ben Williamson 3B | SEA

Mariners' Ben Williamson: Optioned to Triple-A

Williamson was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday.

Williamson had been the Mariners third baseman prior to the Eugenio Suarez acquisition, and it makes more sense for Williamson to be playing every day at Triple-A than playing sparingly in the majors. Known more for his glove than his bat, Williamson is slashing .253/.294/.310 with one home run and five steals in 85 games as a rookie.

  • Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: Back in majors

Mastrobuoni was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday.

The Mariners acquired Eugenio Suarez to handle third base, and Mastrobuoni fits better as a bench infielder role than Ben Williamson, who will head back to Triple-A to get regular at-bats. Mastrobuoni is hitting .252 with one home run and five steals in 71 games in the majors.
