Karros went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI on Friday against the Brewers.

Karros doubled in his first at-bat before coming around to score, and he then singled in a run in his next plate appearance. It was his first multi-hit effort since the All-Star break, though he has gotten on base a .417 clip with three runs scored in six games since play resumed. Karros also hit second in Colorado's lineup, a position he's held of late against lefties.

Lewis went 0-for-2 with two walks and two stolen bases in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Athletics.

Lewis was held hitless for the fourth time in his last seven games, but he was able to draw multiple walks for the second contest in a row. He's picked up three steals over his last two games to make good use of his time on base. The infielder is now batting .211 with a .675 OPS, 10 home runs, nine steals, 30 RBI, 33 runs scored and 12 doubles over 70 contests this season. Friday marked his fourth appearance at second base in 2026, though he most often occupies one of the corner infield spots.

Okamoto went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Down 4-0 in the seventh inning, Okamoto gave the Blue Jays life with a three-run blast off Greg Weissert. It was an encouraging effort for the 30-year-old, who entered the All-Star break on a tear but opened the second half in an 0-for-22 slump entering Friday. On the season, he's slashing .227/.308/.451 with 23 homers -- setting a new MLB record for home runs by a Japanese rookie, surpassing the 22 long balls launched by Shohei Ohtani with the Angels in 2018.

Rengifo went 1-for-1 with a two-run homer and a run scored in the Padres' 4-2 win over the Marlins on Friday.

Rengifo was called on to pinch hit for Luis Campusano in the eighth inning and delivered, crushing a two-run home run to put San Diego up for good. The 29-year-old belted his second homer in his last three games. On the campaign, the switch hitter is now slashing .231/.302/.303 with two homers and 26 RBI in 234 plate appearances.

Machado went 2-for-5 with an RBI, run scored and a strikeout in San Diego's 4-2 win over Miami on Friday.

Machado drove in Xander Bogaerts on an RBI single in the fifth to give the Padres a 2-1 lead at the time. The 33-year-old has now recorded multiple hits in four of his last five games. On the season, Machado is batting .208/.296/.429 with 22 homers and 60 RBI in 427 plate appearances.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said that Jung (calf) was unable to run at full speed prior to Friday's game against Seattle, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Schumaker said the Jung was running at "half-speed" as a result of a left calf injury that Jung picked up Tuesday against the White Sox. The injury is severe enough that the veteran third baseman may need a stint on the IL, and Wilson suggests that a decision from the Rangers could come as soon as Saturday. Ezequiel Duran is starting at third base Friday and could continue to see more reps at the hot corner for as long as Jung is sidelined.

Barger will undergo season-ending surgery to repair the UCL in his right elbow, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Whether Barger needs a full Tommy John repair or an internal brace procedure will not be known until the surgery is performed. If it's the former, he could get a late start to next season following a nine-month rehab. An internal brace operation carries a timetable of six months, which would give Barger a chance to be ready around the start of spring training. Barger will conclude the 2026 season having played only nine games due to injury, as he battled a stress reaction in his back in addition to the elbow injury.

Jung (calf) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners.

Jung was removed from Tuesday's game versus the White Sox with left calf tightness. He sat out Wednesday and the Rangers had an off day Thursday, but Jung still isn't ready to rejoin the lineup. Ezequiel Duran will again fill in at third base.

Muncy is out of the Dodgers lineup for Friday's series opener against the Mets.

Despite Thursday's day off for the Dodgers, the lefty-batting Muncy will ride the bench for Friday's matchup against Mets southpaw starter Sean Manaea. Tommy Edman will move over to third base and bat third for the Dodgers in Muncy's absence.

Ramirez is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays.

Ramirez started the last two contests upon his activation from the injured list, but he will get a breather Friday as the Guardians ease their star back into things. Gabriel Arias will cover third base.
