Moncada went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored Thursday against the Rangers.

Moncada recorded his first extra-base hit in three games since returning from the disabled list. He is 4-for-12 in that span and has shown no signs of his hamstring injury slowing him down with the bat. It remains to be seen just how much he'll run for the remainder of the season, but his health presents no red flags for the time being.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored Thursday in the Athletics' victory over the Blue Jays.

The big fly, his eighth of the year, floated over the left-field wall off a John Axford fastball in the sixth to extend Oakland's lead to 9-4. Chapman went 11 games without a homer before he left the yard May 11 but looks to be re-establishing that part of his game. His flyball-heavy approach won't position him for a helpful batting average, but he takes plenty of walks to make up for that deficiency and keep him afloat in OBP formats.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Thursday in Baltimore's loss to the Red Sox.

Machado cleared the Green Monster with two outs in the ninth inning, when the Orioles were down to their final out losing 6-0. The moon shot, which put Machado in at least a tie for the major-league lead with 14 (pending other Thursday action), wasn't enough to tarnish David Price's complete-game win, but it was the latest highlight of a ridiculous run for Machado. He now has four homers and 13 RBI while going 9-for-28 (.321) in his last seven games. Despite Orioles' prolonged issues, Machado continues to provide MVP-caliber production.

LeMahieu was diagnosed with a sprained left thumb with a small fracture in the area as well, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

The second baseman went to see a hand specialist Wednesday after landing on the DL earlier in the week. The visit revealed that LeMahieu not only has a sprain but also a break in his left thumb. LeMahieu told Saunders he's unsure when he'll be able to return, but the diagnosis means it will be tough for him to be back when eligible May 25.

Bichette signed with the St. Paul Saints of the independent American Association, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports.

Bichette was cut loose from the Rockies in spring training and failed to latch on elsewhere via a minor-league deal. The 25-year-old spent most of the last three seasons at Double-A in the Yankees' organization, never earning a promotion to Triple-A.

Muncy is out of the lineup Thursday against the Marlins, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Muncy and Kyle Farmer have mostly shared the reps at the hot corner for the Dodgers since late April, with the timeshare favoring Muncy as the left-handed hitter of the two. However, after star third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, Farmer was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City, while Muncy is now in store for a regular role on the bench. Unless another injury hits the Los Angeles infield, Muncy projects to receive only a handful of at-bats per week.

Davis was not promoted to replace Jake Marisnick due to fewer games in the outfield than Tony Kemp, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

After demoting Marisnick to Triple-A Fresno, the Astros likely had a decision between Davis (1.017 OPS) and Kemp (.842) before settling on the more experienced outfielder in Kemp. The organization wanted to gradually expose Davis to the outfield when he was sent down to the minors earlier this season, but he's played just six games in left field since arriving in Fresno.

Duffy (hamstring) believes he'll be ready to return to the lineup Friday against the Angels, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy sat out Wednesday's series finale against the Royals after exiting Tuesday's game with tightness in his right leg. The infielder appears resigned to missing Thursday's series opener versus the Angels in order to give himself two days' rest, but he told reporters Wednesday that his hamstring already felt improved from the previous night, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.

Longoria went 3-for-4 in Wednesday's loss to the Reds.

All three hits were singles, but it marked the continuation of a recent hot stretch for the 32-year-old. Over the last five games, he's hitting .348 (8-for-23) with a home run, three runs scored and a pair of RBI. That stretch has brought his average up to .256 to go along with a .767 OPS in his first year in San Francisco.

LeMahieu (thumb) will receive further evaluation from a hand specialist Wednesday afternoon, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

LaMahieu and the Rockies appear to be slightly concerned that he's dealing with a more severe sprain than originally diagnosed. The second baseman was placed on the 10-day disabled list earlier this week after suffering a thumb injury against Milwaukee on Sunday. According to manager Bud Black, LeMahieu's thumb has been "sore, swollen and painful" and LeMahieu could miss an extended period of time if it's determined that there's a structural issue with the hand, or even a high-degree sprain. At the present time, LeMahieu cannot even grip or swing a bat, so it seems unlikely that he will immediately return to the field once he's eligible to come off the DL on Wednesday. Expect an update on his status in the coming days.
