Machado went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Machado cut the Los Angeles lead to 7-4 with his solo shot off Dustin May in the eighth. The long ball marked the third baseman's 14th of the season and brought his RBI tally to 41. He will bring a strong .314/.377/.593 slash line into the weekend series against the Mariners.

Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

He'll give way to Sergio Alcantara at third base in the series finale after starting in five of the previous seven contests. Since his Aug. 17 callup, Paredes is slashing .179/.236/.269 over his first 72 plate appearances in the big leagues.

Urshela went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and three runs in a 20-6 victory over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Urshela returned to the starting nine after a minimum stay on the 10-day IL and demonstrated little rust, notching his second three-hit performance of the season. It was technically his fourth straight multi-hit game, though there was a 12-day pause since his previous contest due to the injury. Urshela is hitting a healthy .290/.376/.542 on the season.

Peterson went 0-for-2 with an RBI, two runs and two walks in Tuesday's blowout victory over the Cardinals.

Peterson started at second base for the second time in as many days, and while he did not record a hit, he still made a mark in the box score. Peterson has recorded just five hits in 28 at-bats this season -- good for a lowly .179 batting average -- but thanks to a quality .385 OBP and his ability to play both the infield and outfield, he found himself in the starting lineup 10 times in the Brewers' last 20 games.

LeMahieu went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, three runs scored and five RBI in Tuesday's 20-6 rout of the Blue Jays.

His eighth-inning solo shot came off shortstop Santiago Espinal, who got pressed into duty on the mound to save the Toronto bullpen, but it still counts all the same for LeMahieu. The 32-year-old extended his hitting streak to eight games with the performance, during which he's slashing .364/.447/.758 with three homers, seven RBI and 11 runs.

Arenado (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a walk in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Athletics.

Arenado missed one game with the injury. His lone hit was a sixth-inning single, and he later scored on a Josh Fuentes sacrifice fly. Arenado has gone 10-for-37 (.270) with a homer, five RBI and seven runs scored in his last 10 games.

Candelario went 3-for-5 with two runs scored during Tuesday's 6-0 victory over the Royals.

Candelario stranded four men on base, but nonetheless had a productive outing. He has raked over his last 15 games, slashing .404/.483/.673 with three home runs. He improved his average to .333 for the season.

Chapman underwent successful surgery to repair a torn right hip labrum and has a four-month recovery timeline, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The 27-year-old finishes 2020 with a .232/.276/.535 slash line, 10 homers and 25 RBI in 37 games. If all goes well in his recovery, Chapman should be healthy for the start of spring training in February, though any minor setbacks could bring a delayed arrival to camp. Jake Lamb is likely to see the bulk of the time at third base for the A's since Chad Pinder (hamstring) is also sidelined.

Reynolds cleared waivers Tuesday and was outrighted to the Royals' alternate training site.

Reynolds was designated for assignment Saturday, but he'll remain in the organization after failing to secure a spot on another 40-man roster. The 29-year-old went 0-for-11 during his four days on the major-league roster this year.

Muncy will sit Tuesday against the Padres, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Muncy sits for just the second time all season. Cody Bellinger starts at first base, with Edwin Rios getting the nod at third.
