  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Continues power surge

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.

Muncy's third long ball of the three-game series was a 403-foot solo shot to right field in the seventh inning. The veteran slugger didn't go deep until his 29th game of the season and was stuck on that single long ball and a batting average below the Mendoza Line through 39 contests. However, he's turned things around since mid-May, slashing .320/.422/.700 with six home runs, 23 RBI, nine runs, one stolen base and a 10:7 BB:K over his past 16 games.

  • Blaze Jordan 3B | STL

Red Sox's Blaze Jordan: Moving up to Triple-A

Jordan was promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Jordan, who plays both corner infield positions, slashed .320/.415/.513 with six home runs, 11 doubles, three steals, 37 RBI and 30 runs scored over 44 games (176 plate appearances) for Double-A Portland. He was once a highly regarded prospect but underwhelming offensive numbers in 2024 took some of the luster off Jordan. His work at Portland this season could put him back on the radar, and his ability to play first base (28 starts in 2025) could come in handy later this season for Boston, which is operating without Triston Casas (knee) for the rest of the season.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Lifts homer in win

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Angels.

Ramirez led off the fourth inning with his 11th homer of the season and second in as many contests. After collecting 13 multi-hit games during the month of May (.386/.451/.634), Ramirez picked up where he left off on the first day of June. He leads the Guardians with 11 homers and is tied for the lead with 29 RBI.

  • Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Rehab assignment on tap

Candelario (back) will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Monday, MLB.com reports.

Candelario is expected to play a couple of games in the ACL before moving to Triple-A Louisville for an unspecified number of at-bats. He's been dealing with the back issue since late April. Prior to landing on the 10-day injured list, Candelario had lost a regular spot in the starting lineup and was batting .113 over 22 games.

  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Mired in 0-for-30 slump

Lewis went 0-for-2 and was pulled for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Mariners. He's in an 0-for-30 slump at the plate.

Lewis is hitting just .127/.195/.392 in 21 games since returning from a hamstring injury. While Lewis has been a bit unlucky with a .225 xBA and .140 BABIP, he also struggled at the end of last season, hitting .181 with a .500 OPS in September. It's not out of the question he could be sent to Triple-A to get back on track. Lewis being pulled for a pinch hitter late in a close game late could indicate the Twins may be ready to take action on his struggles.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Opens scoring with homer

Machado went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Pirates.

Machado's homer opened the scoring in the first inning. He then restored the lead for the Padres during their rally in the seventh, supplying the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly. His seven-game hitting streak ended Saturday, but the third baseman is 11-for-34 (.324) across his last nine contests, a span that has seen him hit four of his seven homers this year. He's added 27 RBI, 40 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 17 doubles and a .308/.373/.488 slash line through 57 games this season.

  • Addison Barger SS | TOR

Blue Jays' Addison Barger: Homers in third straight game

Barger went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Athletics.

Barger was hitless before ripping a go-ahead three-run shot as part of Toronto's six-run eighth inning. It was his fifth long ball of the year, and he's gone deep in three consecutive contests. The power surge has boosted his slash line to .267/.333/.483 across 38 games this season. Over his last 17 games, Barger has gone 19-for-59 (.322) with nine extra-base knocks.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Goes deep in win

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Nationals.

Suarez's first-inning homer ended up being the margin of victory for the Diamondbacks. He has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, going 12-for-38 (.316) with four extra-base hits and six RBI in that span. On the year, the third baseman is up to 16 homers, 44 RBI, 37 runs scored, one stolen base, 11 doubles and a .231/.311/.509 slash line over 59 contests.

  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Getting regular run at third base

Peraza will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Peraza will make his seventh start in eight games at third base and appears to have moved ahead of Jorbit Vivas on the depth chart, but both players are likely to see their playing time decrease in the near future. Jazz Chisholm (oblique) has been playing third base during his rehab assignment and is expected to be activated from the injured list Tuesday, at which time he should take over as the Yankees' everyday option at the position. Once Chisholm is back in the fold, Peraza and Vivas will have to vie with DJ LeMahieu for starts at second base.

  • Tyler Wade CF | SD

Padres' Tyler Wade: Sitting against lefty

Wade is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Though he'll take a seat for the second day in a row while the Pirates send another lefty (Andrew Heaney) to the bump, Wade had gained traction of late in the Padres' everyday lineup against righties. He started in either left or right field in each of the Padres' previous three matchups with righties and could end up holding down a strong-side platoon role until Jason Heyward (oblique) returns from the injured list.
