Newman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Brewers.

The homer, his third of the season, gives him a .208 batting average and four extra-base hits in 106 plate appearances since the end of May. Aside from the infielder's .308 batting average in 2019, he's hit just .213 in his other three seasons. While Newman has struggled immensely, he figures to retain steady playing time, especially if the team trades starting second baseman Adam Frazier.

Burger went 2-for-3 with a walk and a triple in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Tigers.

Burger, who was called up Friday to fill-in for an injured Yoan Moncada (hand), finished off his first series in the majors with his second multi-hit game. He went 4-for-11 with two extra-base hits in his introduction to the show. Moncada took batting practice in the cage Sunday and is expected to be ready to go Monday. That, plus the pending activation of Adam Engel (hamstring) off the 10-day injured list, likely means Burger is headed back to Triple-A Charlotte.

Urshela went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Game 2 of Sunday's 4-2 doubleheader win over the Mets.

Urshela took Mets starter Corey Oswalt deep to left in the second inning to give New York an early 3-0 lead it wouldn't relinquish. The homer extended Urshela's hitting streak to five games, a stretch that's seen him go 6-for-16 with two home runs.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a double in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Athletics.

There wasn't much offense in this game, as Devers and Alex Verdugo were the only batters to record extra-base hits. Devers doubled off Deolis Guerra in the ninth inning, threatening to extend the lead. The 24-year-old leads the Red Sox in home runs (20) and RBI (68). He is slashing .285/.354/.570 in 305 plate appearances. He has reached base safely 11 times in his current six-game hitting streak.

Machado went 2-for-2 with two home runs, five RBI, three runs and three walks in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Phillies.

Machado homered in each of his first two at-bats Sunday to give the Padres an early 5-0 lead, and he reached base safely in each of his five plate appearances. The multi-hit performance was his first since June 25, and the 28-year-old has now recorded hits in each of his last four games. During his hit streak, he's gone 5-for-11 with three home runs, seven RBI, seven runs and a stolen base.

Henderson is hitting just .032/.295/.032 across 44 plate appearances since his promotion to High-A Aberdeen.

The highly regarded young shortstop got off to a tremendous start in Low-A, putting up a .312/.369/.574 batting line, but the next level up has presented a far greater challenge, as Henderson has picked up just a single hit since his promotion while striking out in 38.6 percent of his plate appearances. On the bright side, he's also drawn a dozen walks in that time -- almost as many as he'd managed in 157 plate appearances in Low-A. There's plenty to dream on with Henderson, but this speed bump means he's not likely to race through the minor-league ranks.

Muncy went 2-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and a strikeout in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Nationals.

Muncy was unable to reach base in any of his first three plate appearances Sunday, but he got hot late with doubles in the seventh and ninth innings. The 30-year-old has driven in multiple runs in three of the last four games, and he's gone 4-for-15 with a home run, nine RBI, two runs and three walks during that time.

Rendon (hamstring) may be unavailable Monday but isn't believed to be dealing with a serious injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rendon exited Sunday's win over the Orioles in the top of the sixth inning due to left hamstring tightness, but manager Joe Maddon sounded optimistic about the third baseman's status after the game. Jose Rojas or Phil Gosselin could see time at the hot corner if the 31-year-old misses any additional time, but he's considered day-to-day for now.

Rendon left Sunday's game against the Orioles due to left hamstring tightness, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rendon was removed from Sunday's game midway through the sixth inning, and he's apparently dealing with a hamstring issue. The third baseman will presumably undergo further examinations following Sunday's game, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be forced to miss additional time.

Candelario went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

Sunday was the third baseman's first three-hit effort since May 28. Candelario singled and scored in the second inning. He also hit an RBI double and came around to score again in the fifth. The 27-year-old had a hot stretch in May, but he's since leveled off with a .265/.347/.369 slash line, four home runs, 23 RBI, 33 runs scored and 17 doubles through 314 plate appearances this year.
