Paredes was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

The 22-year-old was promoted from Triple-A last week and went 3-for-21 with a home run, two RBI and two runs in six appearances during his brief time with the team. Paredes could rejoin the Tigers later in the season when the team requires infield depth.

Candelario is in Kansas City as he waits to clear intake protocols and could return as soon as Monday and no later than Tuesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Candelario missed most of last week while on the bereavement list. He then hit the COVID-19 injured list on Saturday as he goes through health protocols, but his return appears to be imminent.

Anderson (shoulder) has yet to begin hitting, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Reports from early last week indicated that Anderson was on the verge of starting his hitting progression, but he's still yet to take that step. He was expected to miss several weeks when he landed on the injured list with a left shoulder subluxation in late May, but it remains unclear exactly when the Marlins expect him back.

Moustakas (heel) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday and could be activated during the four-game series at San Diego, which begins Thursday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The 32-year-old has been sidelined by a bruised right heel since May 18, but he's on the cusp of his return after a nearly monthlong absence. Moustakas is only expected to require a few games in the minors to get back up to speed, assuming he avoids any setbacks.

Manager Tony La Russa said Moncada is unavailable Monday against the Rays due "a lot of discomfort" and "congestion," Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

The 26-year-old is out of the lineup for the second time in the past three days, so it's not a major surprise to hear he's not feeling well. Moncada should be considered day-to-day while battling the cold, and La Russa is optimistic the ailment will be a short-term concern. Leury Garcia will operate at third base Monday for the White Sox.

Moncada is out of the lineup Monday against the Rays.

Moncada is 5-for-31 with 12 strikeouts over his past eight games and will take a seat Monday for the second time in the past three days. Leury Garcia will work at the hot corner while Brian Goodwin receives the nod in center field.

Paredes isn't starting Monday against the Royals.

Paredes had started each of the last six games, but he'll get a breather after he went 0-for-5 with two walks and two strikeouts across his last two appearances. Harold Castro will take over at third base and bat second.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said over the weekend that he anticipates Muncy (oblique) spending the minimum 10 days on the injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Roberts' comments imply some level of confidence that Muncy is dealing with a low-grade strain to his right oblique, but given the volatile timetables typically associated with this type of injury, it's hardly a given that the 30-year-old will be ready to return from the IL when first eligible June 22. Muncy will travel with the Dodgers for their six-game, two-city road trip that begins Friday, and he'll likely need to prove his health in batting practice and fielding and baserunning drills during the upcoming weekend in order to guarantee a brief IL stint.

LeMahieu went 2-for-4 in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia for his fourth multi-hit game over his past five contests.

One of the most surprising early season developments for the Yankees has been LeMahieu's struggles at the plate. Through his first 56 contests, he was batting a meager .253 after posting a career-best and AL-leading .364 average in 2020. The veteran has begun to turn things around of late, however, raising his average eight points since June 8 and collecting exactly two hits in four of his five games during that span. LeMahieu's decline this season has some substance behind it -- his 16.7 percent strikeout rate is on pace for his worst mark since 2015, and his .082 ISO pales in comparison to the .226 mark he posted last season -- but there is still plenty of time for him to turn things around. Fantasy managers who used substantial draft capital to add LeMahieu to their 2021 squad may be best served to hope his recent offensive surge builds rather than to cast him off after his slow start.

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Rockies.

There's been a lot of talk regarding Suarez's down year on offense, but the third baseman seems to be on the right path to turn things around and has hit safely in all but three of his appearances this month. He's hitting just .225 in 40 at-bats in June, but even that's an upgrade considering he hit just .186 in May and .130 in April.
