Burger was called up from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

The 25-year-old will receive his first taste of the majors while Yoan Moncada deals with a bruised hand. Moncada hasn't been placed on the injured list but isn't expected to play this weekend, so Burger should see plenty of opportunities between third base and designated hitter since the scuffling Yermin Mercedes was sent to Triple-A. Burger has been impressive during his first Triple-A campaign this year, hitting .322/.368/.596 with 10 homers, 15 doubles, 36 RBI and 29 runs in 42 games.

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a grand slam in Thursday's win over the Nationals.

Muncy, who extended his hitting streak to five games while also homering for the third contest in a row, made his presence felt in the fourth inning with a bases-loaded blast that gave Los Angeles a lead they'd never relinquish. Muncy now has 18 homers on the season but has hit four of those over the last seven days.

Farmer went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Padres.

The 30-year-old slammed a solo home run in the ninth inning to tie the game. He added a stolen base in the fifth inning and scored on a Jonathan India double in the second frame. Farmer doesn't have a lot of power or speed with six long balls and a pair of steals on the season, and he is slashing .222/.289/.330 in 247 plate appearances.

Devers went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and three runs scored Thursday against the Royals.

Devers was one of the driving forces behind Boston's 15-run offensive outburst Thursday. He delivered a two-RBI single in the fifth inning, followed by a three-run homer one frame later. He now has 20 home runs on the season and collected at least one hit in five of his last six starts. In that same span, he has two home runs, nine RBI and five runs scored. On the campaign, Devers is hitting an excellent .288/.359/.582 with 55 runs and 69 RBI across 329 plate appearances.

Riley went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Mets.

Riley took Jacob deGrom deep in the first inning to give Atlanta the lead. He is the only hitter to homer off deGrom in his last seven starts. The 24-year-old is slashing .280/.359/.476 with 14 long balls, 39 RBI and 40 runs in 314 plate appearances. He is batting .333 over his last eight games.

Kieboom is dealing with a knee injury and is unavailable for a promotion to the majors, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

The Nationals are without both Jordy Mercer (quadriceps) and Trea Turner (finger), which has left the the team thin along the infield. While that may have put Kieboom in consideration for a promotion, he is unavailable with no timeline for his return to the field. Positively, he has performed well with Triple-A Rochester this season, posting a 118 wRC+ and striking out at only an 18.1 percent clip across 166 plate appearances.

Burger is expected to be recalled by the White Sox for the team's weekend series against Detroit, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Burger would be recalled to provide infield depth and potentially start at third base in the absence of Yoan Moncada (hand). The 25-year-old Burger overcame a torn Achilles that required two surgeries and cost him both the 2018 and 2019 campaigns. Through 185 plate appearances with Triple-A Charlotte this season, he has maintained a 149 wRC+ with a .275 ISO.

Moncada (hand) will likely be out through the team's weekend series against Detroit, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Moncada was diagnosed with a bruised right hand after he exited Thursday's game against Minnesota, and he's dealing with some swelling. Manager Tony La Russa said he's hopeful that the third baseman could be available for the team's series at Target Field next week. Leury Garcia (undisclosed) and Danny Mendick could see additional playing time in Moncada's absence.

Freeman will miss a week or two at Double-A Akron with shoulder inflammation, Emily Waldon of The Athletic reports.

The 22-year-old hasn't seen the field for the RubberDucks since June 23, but he's not dealing with any structural damage and shouldn't face a significant absence. Freeman is Cleveland's top prospect and has been hitting well at Double-A through 36 games with a .327/.377/.469 slash line, two homers, 19 RBI, 23 runs and four stolen bases.

Suarez remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Padres.

Suarez has struggled at the plate recently, going 1-for-12 with a run, three walks and nine strikeouts across his last four games. He'll remain out of the lineup for a second straight contest Thursday while Alejo Lopez starts at third base and bats sixth.
