Guillorme (hamstring) elected free agency Monday after the Astros activated him from the 10-day injured list and outrighted him off the 40-man roster.

Guillorme had been on the shelf since July 2 due to a right hamstring strain, but he's healthy again after completing a two-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land last week. The Astros didn't have a spot available for Guillorme on the 26-man active roster, and after he went unclaimed off waivers, he'll now have the ability to choose his next destination. Before getting hurt, the 30-year-old utility infielder had appeared in 12 games for Houston and went 3-for-20 with a walk and two runs.

Peraza is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Peraza will hit the bench for the third game in a row and will likely see limited use in a utility role for the foreseeable future after the Yankees addressed their need for an everyday third baseman by acquiring Ryan McMahon from the Rockies over the weekend. Before McMahon's arrival, Peraza had been serving as New York's primary option at the hot corner, but the 25-year-old has slashed just .152/.212/.241 over 170 plate appearances with the Yankees on the season and doesn't look ready for extended playing time in the majors.

The Tigers recalled Ibanez from Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Ibanez has been with Toledo since early June but will get another chance in the big leagues after slashing .268/.376/.437 this month in the minors. The 32-year-old should see some reps for the Tigers against left-handed pitching and will enter the lineup Monday against the Diamondbacks, manning third base and batting sixth.

Hayes went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Hayes delivered a two-RBI single in the eighth inning to give the Pirates a 6-0 lead. He had a mediocre nine-game homestand, going 8-for-33 with two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. Despite the decent stretch, Hayes is still hitting just .208 across 20 games in July.

Bregman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Bregman provided the winning knock with his two-run shot in the fifth inning. It was his second homer since being activated off the injured list 11 games ago. Also of note, Bregman made a third consecutive start Sunday. Red Sox manager Alex Cora had managed the third baseman's time since returning, never having Bregman start more than two consecutive games.

Jung went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 8-1 win over Atlanta.

Whether coincidental or not, the Rangers are riding a six-game winning streak that began when the club recalled Jung from Triple-A Round Rock. He's hit safely in all six games, going 8-for-18 with with one home run and four RBI while back up in the majors.

Garcia went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and an RBI groundout during Sunday's 4-1 win over Cleveland.

After going 4-for-7 with two triples and a homer in Saturday's doubleheader, Garcia launched another home run Sunday, taking David Festa yard in the fifth inning. In his last 15 games, Garcia is 15-for-58 (.259) with 11 runs scored and a 4:6 BB:K. He has a .754 OPS on the season.

Chapman went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Mets.

Chapman's second blast put the Giants ahead 3-2 in the fifth inning, but the lead didn't stick. The third baseman went 3-for-12 with two homers and five strikeouts over three games against the Mets after an elbow injury scare Wednesday versus Atlanta that ultimately didn't cost him a full game of action. Chapman is up to a .243/.351/.459 slash line with 16 homers, 41 RBI, 49 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 82 contests this season.

Mauricio went 4-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

Mauricio is batting .295 (13-for-44) over 15 contests in July after posting his best game of the season. Sunday saw him hit his first homer and supply his first RBI since July 8 in Baltimore. The infielder is up to a .252/.320/.441 slash line with five homers, eight RBI, 16 runs scored and three stolen bases over 122 plate appearances this season. He's currently in a strong-side platoon role at third base while Mark Vientos picks up extra time at designated hitter in the absence of Jesse Winker (back).

Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Paredes' right hamstring strain is "a little bit more severe" than originally projected, and the third baseman is set to receive a second opinion within the next week, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Paredes was placed on the injured list exactly one week ago, but other than manager Joe Espada labeling the hamstring strain as "pretty significant," the team hadn't elaborated further on the severity of the injury. Once Paredes gets a second opinion, a clearer timeline for his return could emerge, but the Astros are seemingly bracing for the 26-year-old to be sidelined well into August, if not September. Mauricio Dubon has taken over as Houston's primary option at the hot corner since Paredes landed on the IL.
