Peterson went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 8-0 win over the Cardinals.

Peterson padded the Brewers' lead in the fifth inning with his first homer since May 15. He hadn't posted a multi-hit effort since May 10, going just 6-for-36 across 15 games prior to Sunday's strong game. The utility man is up to a .212/.304/.374 slash line with four homers, 12 RBI, 19 runs scored, four doubles and six stolen bases across 113 plate appearances. Peterson should continue to see regular playing time at third base for a little longer, but Willy Adames' (ankle) return is getting closer, as he'll move his rehab assignment from Single-A Carolina to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said Lewis will "probably" be placed on the injured list after leaving Sunday's game with right knee pain, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Lewis was promoted from Triple-A St. Paul prior to Sunday's contest, and he began experiencing knee pain after a collision with the wall in center field. The Twins have a doubleheader Tuesday and don't have a scheduled off day until June 6, so it could be difficult to keep the 22-year-old on the active roster for this week, even if he's expected to miss only a few days. The injury itself may not warrant a trip to the shelf, but Lewis could still end up on the injured list due to the timing of the injury.

Lewis was removed from Sunday's game against the Royals in the top of the fourth inning with right knee pain, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Fresh off his promotion from Triple-A St. Paul earlier in the day, Lewis was immediately inserted as the Twins' starting center fielder in Sunday's series finale while Byron Buxton handled designated-hitter duties. After flying out in his lone plate appearance in the second inning, Lewis made an excellent catch in the top of the third to rob Emmanuel Rivera of a potential extra-base hit, but he banged into the wall hard while flagging down the pop fly and is now dealing with an injury. Though Lewis initially stayed in the game, he was removed an inning later in favor of Nick Gordon. Expect the Twins to provide a firmer diagnosis of the injury later in the day, but assuming Lewis isn't dealing with anything more than a day-to-day concern related to the same knee in which he suffered an ACL tear last February, he could be primed to fill a near-everyday utility role for Minnesota while bouncing between a number of different positions.

Chapman will start at third base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Angels.

After going 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run in Saturday's 6-5 win, Chapman will climb from the No. 7 spot in the order to fifth. Chapman's rise up the lineup corresponds with Vladimir Guerrero (wrist) and Teoscar Hernandez (rest day) taking a seat Sunday, so Chapman may still find himself in a bottom-third spot in the order for most games in spite of Saturday's strong day at the plate.

Toro (shoulder) is likely to begin a short rehab assignment early this coming week, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Toro began taking infield drills Friday, certainly an encouraging development. The infielder went on the injured list May 21, and manager Scott Servais remains hopeful he'll be deemed ready for activation when first eligible, meaning a rehab stint may be limited to two games at most.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone stated Friday that Donaldson (shoulder) is feeling better after receiving a cortisone injection, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson is dealing with right shoulder inflammation, and his treatment appears to be effective thus far. The veteran has been swinging and doing light throwing, so he may not need to miss an extended period of time. Donaldson is eligible to return from the IL on June 3, but he may need to miss an additional game after being activated if his appeal of a suspension is not successful.

Machado (elbow) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The National League MVP Award candidate finds himself on the bench for a second straight game while he continues to deal with what manager Bob Melvin has labeled as "tennis elbow." The Padres don't believe the issue is anything that will result in a long-term absence for Machado, but a trip to the injured list could grow more likely if the 29-year-old isn't deemed ready to rejoin the lineup during the Padres' upcoming three-game series in St. Louis that begins Monday. Ha-Seong Kim will move over from shortstop to fill in at the hot corner for Machado on Sunday.

Miranda was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.

The 23-year-old was called up by the Twins in early May and struggled in his first taste of big-league action with a .164/.200/.284 slash line in 19 games. Miranda will now head back to St. Paul while top prospect Royce Lewis takes his spot on Minnesota's 26-man roster.

Anderson (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Manager Don Mattingly said that Anderson is showing improvement after lower-back spasms resulted in him being scratched from the lineup in Saturday's 4-1 win, but the Marlins will still look to stay away from the 29-year-old in the series finale. Before the back issue surfaced, Anderson had made 12 consecutive starts at either third base, left field or right field, but he's expected to move into more of a utility role once he's back to full strength.

Lewis was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul by the Twins on Sunday and is starting in center field against the Royals, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

The 22-year-old was optioned to St. Paul on May 18 when Carlos Correa (finger) returned from the injured list, and he's now back in Minnesota after spending less that two weeks in the minors. Lewis moved around the diamond while back at Triple-A and saw playing time at shortstop, third base, left field and center field, and he's poised to fill a utility role now that he's back in the majors. He hit .308/.325/.564 with two home runs, four doubles, five RBI and five runs over his first 11 big-league games.
