The Royals recalled Garcia from Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Thursday.

Garcia was one of several minor leaguers called up in advance of Thursday's series opener in Toronto after the Royals placed 10 players on the 26-man active roster on the restricted list in corresponding moves. With those 10 players unavailable for the entire four-game set in Canada due to their vaccination statuses, Garcia should get the chance to make his MLB debut this weekend, though he won't be included in Thursday's lineup. The 22-year-old infielder has slashed .287/.365/.397 with three home runs and 27 stolen bases across 351 plate appearances at the Double-A level this season.

Donaldson is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Reds.

Donaldson will get a day off after he went 1-for-7 with an RBI and run scored in the first two games of the series. DJ LeMahieu will slide over to third base while Anthony Rizzo mans first base and bats third against the Reds.

Paredes isn't starting Thursday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Paredes started the last two games and went 1-for-7 with a double, a run, a walk and a strikeout. However, he'll take a seat for the second time in the last four games Thursday while Ji-Man Choi starts at first base with Jonathan Aranda taking over at the keystone.

Moustakas is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

With southpaw Nestor Cortes on the mound, the Reds will move two of their key left-handed bats in Moustakas and Tyler Naquin to the bench. Donovan Solano and Stuart Fairchild will replace Moustakas and Naquin in the lineup at designated hitter and in right field, respectively.

Senzel (back) is starting Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Senzel was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to mid-back stiffness but appeared off the bench and was picked off. He'll start in center field and bat eighth in Thursday's series finale.

McMahon isn't starting Thursday's game against San Diego.

McMahon is getting a day off after he went 4-for-14 with a triple, two runs, a stolen base, two walks and two strikeouts over the last four games. Garrett Hampson will take over at third base and bat ninth.

Peterson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday in the Brewers' 4-1 loss to the Twins.

The long ball was his eighth of the season, putting him within striking distance of becoming the 15th player in baseball with both double-digit home runs and stolen bases. With only two of his 10 stolen bases coming since June 5, Peterson hasn't been running much of late, but he's made up for it to some degree by slashing .273/.333/.443 over that stretch. The 32-year-old has been an underrated fantasy asset while holding down a full-time role for most of the season, as his ability to play all over the infield and outfield typically makes Peterson manager Craig Counsell's go-to option to fill in whenever the Brewers are down a regular player due to injury.

Arenado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Dodgers.

Arenado entered Wednesday with no extra-base hits in his last nine games, though he still hit well by going 10-for-32 (.313) in that span. He went deep in the third inning Wednesday, though the Cardinals' bullpen ultimately couldn't hang onto the lead. Arenado continues to enjoy a return to old form in 2022, posting a .293/.362/.528 slash line with 18 homers, 58 RBI, 41 runs scored, a stolen base and 20 doubles through 86 contests.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Mets.

His took Drew Smith deep in the eighth inning, but Atlanta was in a 7-1 hole at that point. Riley has homered in four of the last five games and seven times through 13 contests in July, giving the third baseman 25 long balls on the season to go with a .284/.348/.568 slash line, 52 runs and 58 RBI in 88 contests.

Escobar went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-3 win over Atlanta.

The veteran infielder has four of his 10 homers on the season in July, but he still hasn't been able to put together a prolonged hot streak. Escobar is batting just .192 (10-for-52) on the month, and his slash line on the season remains a lackluster .217/.273/.387.
