Dodgers' Max Muncy: Not starting Sunday
Muncy (quadriceps) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Rockies, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Though Muncy was expected to re-enter the lineup for the series finale after sitting out Saturday's 4-2 loss, the Dodgers will instead err on the side of caution and keep him out for another game. With an off day coming Monday, Muncy will benefit from extra time to recover from the quad injury ahead of Tuesday's series opener in San Diego.

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Not part of Sunday's lineup
Newman is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Newman is hitting .297 in September, but he went 0-for-8 over his last two games, so manager Clint Hurdle decided to give him a break. Cole Tucker will get the start at shortstop Sunday afternoon.

Mets' J.D. Davis: Out again Sunday
Davis is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds, according to Tim Healey of Newsday.
Davis has been a regular in left field since the All-Star break, but he has seen his playing time dip of late, with manager Mickey Callaway opting to use Todd Frazier more frequently at third base and moving Jeff McNeil to left as a result.

Braves' Josh Donaldson: Held out as expected
As expected, Donaldson is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Donaldson has started every game at third base but one since May 23, so manager Brian Snitker will give the iron man a break Sunday with the NL East wrapped up. Austin Riley will man the hot corner in Donaldson's place.

Braves' Josh Donaldson: Likely to rest Sunday
Donaldson will likely be out of the lineup Sunday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The Braves are prepared to rest some of their most prominent regulars now that they've clinched the NL East. It appears Donaldson will take his turn on the bench Sunday, and he could find himself out of the lineup several more times prior to the close of the regular season.
