  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Expected back Tuesday

Reds manager David Bell said Senzel (groin) checked out fine during a workout Sunday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Bell expects Senzel to return to the lineup Tuesday against the Royals.

Though Senzel will be on the bench for a second straight day in Sunday's series finale in Milwaukee after tweaking his left groin in Friday's opener, the injury doesn't appear to be a major concern. Travis Jankowski will pick up a start in center field in his stead, but Senzel may still be available to pinch hit.

  • Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL

Reds' Kyle Farmer: Sitting out series finale

Farmer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Farmer will retreat to the bench after making three consecutive starts in the middle infield, allowing Christian Colon and Freddy Galvis to pick up starts at the keystone and shortstop, respectively. With Mike Moustakas (quadriceps) moving to the 10-day injured list Sunday, Farmer looks like he could be in store for more regular action at second base, which could make him worthy of a pickup in NL-only leagues.

  • Diamondbacks' Eduardo Escobar: Not starting Sunday

Escobar is out of the lineup Sunday at San Diego.

Escobar will receive his first day off of the season after starting the first 15 games and posting a .488 OPS with two extra-base hits in 60 plate appearances. Andy Young will start at the hot corner in the series finale for Arizona.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Day off Sunday

Arenado is not in the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.

The 29-year-old is 0-for-13 with one walk over the past three games and will receive a day to reset Sunday. Overall this season, Arenado has a .185/.262/.352 slash line with three homers in 61 plate appearances. Chris Owings will take over at third base for the Rockies in the series finale.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Reds' Mike Moustakas: Lands on injured list

Moustakas (quadriceps) was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to Aug. 6.

The Reds previously hoped the 31-year-old would be able to return to action Tuesday, but he apparently requires additional time to recover from the left quad bruise. Moustakas will be eligible to be activated Aug. 16 against the Pirates. Kyle Farmer and Christian Colon should continue to fill in at the keystone for Cincinnati.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Not starting Game 1

Riley is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader in Philadelpha.

Riley will head to the bench for the second time in the past three games, but he may rejoin the lineup for Game 2. Johan Camargo will start at the hot corner in the matinee.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Remains out Sunday

Senzel (groin) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game at Milwaukee.

The 25-year-old exited Friday's series opener with left groin tightness, and he'll be out of the lineup for the final two games of the series. The Reds have a scheduled off day Monday, so the team is likely just being cautious to give Senzel an extra day to recover. Travis Jankowski will start in center field Sunday for Cincinnati.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Reveals fractured finger

Muncy explained Saturday that the finger injury he suffered during summer camp was a fracture, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Earlier reports suggested that Muncy's injury was a bruise, but the slugger indicated that he was actually dealing with a left finger fracture. The injury has not kept the slugger out of the lineup, as he has started every regular season game for the Dodgers thus far. However, Muncy has gotten off to a slow start at the plate -- despite belting four home runs, he is hitting only .169.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Mets' J.D. Davis: Extends hitting streak

Davis went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Marlins.

Davis singled in the third inning and later hit a three-run homer, extending his hitting streak to 12 games. His line is up to .319/.389/.532 through 14 games this season. He was seeing a lot of time in the outfield early on, but this was Davis' fourth consecutive start at third base.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Launches three-run homer

Suarez went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Brewers.

An infield single and a fielding error in the first inning put two on for Suarez, and he capitalized with his second home run of the season. Suarez got off to a 3-for-35 start, but he's showing signs of progress with both of his homers and as many walks (6) as strikeouts (6) in his last five games.
