Riley went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 11-10 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Riley laced an RBI single and then came around in the score in the first inning before adding a solo home run in the fifth. Over his past 10 games, the third baseman has hit safely eight times with three homers, seven RBI and eight runs scored. For the season, he's slashing .273/.330/.446 with 11 long balls, 35 RBI, 33 runs scored and two steals across 270 plate appearances.

Muncy is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.

The Dodgers and Mets are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, and southpaw David Peterson is on the hill for New York, so the left-handed-hitting Muncy will get the afternoon off. Miguel Rojas will check in at third base in place of Muncy, who went 7-for-19 with five home runs, three walks, 11 RBI and six runs while starting in each of the past five contests.

Rosario went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

The utility infielder broke open a scoreless tie with his third homer of the season, leading off the bottom of the seventh inning by driving the first pitch he saw from Matthew Boyd into the right-field bullpen. Rosario has been limited mainly to a short-side platoon role at third base of late -- Wednesday's start at third base was his first action since May 25 -- but he's hit safely in nine straight games, and since the beginning of May he's churned out a .366/.409/.610 slash line in 44 plate appearances with four doubles, two homers, five runs and 10 RBI. Jose Tena's been productive as well however, and there's no clear path to a bigger workload for Rosario.

Norby went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.

It was the 24-year-old infielder's fifth steal of the season but first since May 10, as he was caught stealing on his only two attempts during that time. Norby's 88th percentile sprint speed suggests he could remain a steady contributor in stolen bases if he keeps getting opportunities, but reaching base has been an issue for him -- since the beginning of May he's slashing .248/.282/.381 with two homers, 10 runs and 13 RBI in 29 contests.

Collier started at third base and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a double for High-A Dayton on Wednesday.

Collier, who was activated off the 60-day injured list Tuesday, made his season debut Wednesday. His stay with the Dragons is expected to a brief one, per the High-A Dayton website. Collier will soon move on to Double-A Chattanooga, where he had been expected to open the season prior to the thumb injury that landed him on the IL.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-5 win against the Padres on Wednesday.

Chapman's lone hit was a big one, as he swatted a two-run homer to left field in the sixth inning to cut a four-run Padres lead in half. The long ball extended the veteran third baseman's on-base streak to seven games, a span in which he's batting .417 (10-for-24) with two homers, three doubles and three RBI. Chapman is batting just .236 on the campaign, but his .791 OPS ranks second on San Francisco, and he's added 11 homers along with five stolen bases through 61 contests.

Vientos was diagnosed with a low-grade strain in his right hamstring Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Now that the team has determined the severity of Vientos' injury, the plan is for him to rest and receive treatment for 10-14 days before returning to baseball activities. The 25-year-old had been splitting reps between third base and designated hitter before getting injured, and his absence has allowed the Mets to take a closer look at top prospect Ronny Mauricio.

Tena is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Tena had started in each of Washington's last seven games while the Nationals faced right-handed pitchers, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday with southpaw Matthew Boyd taking the hill for the Cubs. Platoon mate Amed Rosario will step in at third base in place of Tena, who went 7-for-23 with five extra-base hits (four doubles, one triple), a 5:5 BB:K, six runs and four RBI over that seven-game stretch.

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to San Diego.

Chapman lined a double into left field during the third inning and has now recorded at least one hit in seven of his last 10 games. During that span, the third baseman is slashing .324/.439/.500 with three runs scored, three doubles, one home run and a 6:6 BB:K across 41 plate appearances. The 32-year-old is now slashing .236/.357/.425 with 30 runs scored, 26 RBI, 10 home runs, 10 doubles, five stolen bases and a team-high 39 walks over 252 plate appearances this season.

Mauricio went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

Getting the start at third base and batting seventh in his 2025 debut. Mauricio grounded into a double play in the second inning and looked foolish chasing a Clayton Kershaw curveball in the dirt in the fourth, but he's hardly the first hitter to have trouble squaring up the future Hall of Famer. Mauricio could be in line for significant playing time while Mark Vientos (hamstring) is sidelined, platooning with Brett Baty at the hot corner while also seeing action at second base and DH. Mauricio won't match the absurd .515/.564/.818 slash line with three homers and four steals he posted in 39 plate appearances at Triple-A Syracuse, but the 24-year-old has intriguing fantasy upside.
