Giants 2B Matt Duffy drives in two runs during Tuesday's win
Giants second baseman Matt Duffy hit his third home run of the season to help lead the Giants to a 6-3 win over the Brewers on Tuesday.
The two-run home run was hit off Matt Garza in the fourth inning and it was his only hit in four at-bats during the game. Over his last seven games, Duffy is 9 for 30 with two home runs and six RBI.

Brewers SS Jean Segura to be activated on Friday
Brewers shortstop Jean Segura is expected to be activated on Friday without going on a rehab assignment, manager Craig Counsell said per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Segura is currently on the 15-day DL with a broken finger and has been out of action since May 13. Segura is hitting .262 with 12 RBI in 126 at-bats this season and will immediately reclaim his starting role at shortstop.

Nationals hoping to send Anthony Rendon to rehab stint Friday
Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon is scheduled to play five innings on Wednesday in a simulated game before being re-evaluated, according to the Washington Post. Rendon played three innings on Tuesday in a simulated game and was able to steal third. Manager Matt Williams described his play as "uninhibited."
If all goes according to plan, Rendon will be able to begin his rehab assignment on Friday. Rendon is yet to play this season while dealing with a knee and oblique injury. He hit .287 with 83 RBI in 2014.

Pirates 1B Pedro Alvarez blasts ninth home run of the season
Pirates first baseman Pedro Alvarez went 2 for 4 at the plate in Pittsburgh's 4-2 win over the Marlins on Monday.
Alvarez did his damage in the sixth when he crushed a David Phelps pitch to left center field for a solo home run, his ninth of the season. Alvarez is now hitting .241 with 21 RBI in 133 at-bats this season.

Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado blasts ninth home run of the year
Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado went 3 for 4 at the plate in Colorado's 5-4 win over the Reds on Monday.
Arenado started things off in the first when he ripped an RBI single to left field. Then in the fourth, Arenado blasted a solo shot to deep left center field off of Jason Marquis, his ninth of the season.
"I just want to do what I can. When I have the opportunity to drive runs in, I'm going to do my best to do it," Arenado said to MLB.com. "It's not going to work out every time."
Arenado is now hitting .287 with 28 RBI in 157 at-bats this season.
"His defense is always elite, every day," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "He had gone through a tough stretch offensively, but he's definitely beyond that."

3B Nolan Arenado's huge day fuels Rockies in romp
Third baseman Nolan Arenado helped spark the Rockies' offense to a big performance against the Giants, as he went 4-for-5 with 4 RBIs in Colorado's 11-2 victory Sunday.
Arenado scored the Rockies' first two runs and then put the capper on Colorado's eight-run fourth inning with a three-run homer, his eighth of the season.
Arenado fell just a double short of the cycle, as he hit his first triple of the season. All four of Arenado's RBIs came with two outs, as he lifted his average to .275 on the season.

Nationals' Anthony Rendon headed for simulated game on Monday
Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon is expected to play in a simulated game on Monday and play 3-4 innings, according to MLB.com.
Rendon, who is currently on the 15-day DL with knee and oblique injuries, was able to participate in batting practice on Saturday. He has taken part in baseball activities, but this will be his first game action since suffering the injuries. Rendon is yet to play this season after posting a .287 average with 21 home runs and 83 RBI in 2014.

Gonzalez, LeMahieu and Rosario have days off for Rockies
After playing both games of Saturday's doubleheader, Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is getting the day off on Sunday against the Giants.
Brandon Barnes will fill in for Gonzalez and bat sixth.
Infielder DJ LeMahieu is also getting the day off. Daniel Descalso will play second base instead. Ben Paulsen is filling in for Wilin Rosario, who also has the day off.

Pedro Alvarez, Neil Walker out of Pirates' lineup
First baseman Pedro Alvarez and second baseman Neil Walker are both out of the Pirates' Sunday lineup.
Alvarez is replaced by Sean Rodriguez, who gets his second start of the year at first base. Rodriguez will hit sixth.
Walker's absence requires shifts at all other infield positions. Josh Harrison moves over from third place to replace Walker at second. Jung Ho Kang moves to third from shortstop, and Jordy Mercer returns to the lineup at short, for just the second time in eight games.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Brewers' Jean Segura expected to be back this Friday
Brewers shortstop Jean Segura is expected to be activated from the disabled list by this Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Segura, who has a broken finger, has an MRI scheduled for Monday to determine whether his injury has healed or not. The expectation is that he'll be good to go. It hasn't been decided whether Segura will have a brief minor-league rehab assignment or not.
"I think we're down to days with them," said manager Craig Counsell. "I'm optimistic. They're taking big steps at this point, which is what you want to see. You kind of see the light here with both of those guys."
In 34 games, Segura is slashing .262/.306/.373.
