Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Indians' Gio Urshela: Designated for assignment
Urshela (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day DL and subsequently designated for assignment prior to Friday's game.
Urshela will be subject to waivers after returning from a lengthy rehab assignment during which he went 12-for-37 (.324 average) with four extra-base hits and seven RBI in 11 minor-league games. The infielder just couldn't crack a spot on the Indians' active roster and will likely be plucked off the waiver wire by another organization. Over 67 games with Cleveland in 2017, he hit .224/.262/.288 with 15 RBI.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Returns to lineup
Moncada (hamstring) is back in the lineup Friday against the Twins.
Moncada missed his first game of the season Thursday while dealing with a hamstring issue. The young second baseman has six homers and four steals through 28 games. He's hitting a strong .268/.359/.518, though those numbers should fall a bit when his .414 BABIP regresses.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Available off bench Thursday
Moncada (hamstring) was available as a pinch-hitter Thursday, but did not play in the White Sox's 6-5 win over the Twins, Andy Martinez of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Manager Rick Renteria said Moncada, who was removed from a game Wednesday due to hamstring tightness, was held out of Thursday's lineup as a precaution. There's a good chance the second baseman will be back in the lineup Friday against Minnesota.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Hits eighth home run
Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Blue Jays.
Ramirez hit his eighth home run of the season as part of a nine-run fifth inning for the Indians. His slow start to the season is a distant memory, as he has four multi-hit performances in his past five games. He is now hitting .277/.372/.538 in 119 at-bats.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Has big return to lineup
Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the second game of a doubleheader against the Indians on Thursday.
Donaldson returned to the lineup Thursday after missing three weeks due to shoulder inflammation. He started at third base in the afternoon game while remaining in the lineup as the designated hitter for the second game of the twin bill. Regardless of his defensive role, he showed no signs of rust, blasting a home run in each game while also recording two doubles. Thursday's performances added to his elite power production and his slugging percentage is now .579 in 57 at-bats this season.

Drew Robinson 3B | TEX
Rangers' Drew Robinson: Sits versus lefty Thursday
Robinson is not in the lineup Thursday against the Red Sox.
The 26-year-old has a modest four-game hit streak going right now, but he also has nine strikeouts combined in those contests. Robinson will head to the bench for a night off against southpaw David Price, allowing Renato Nunez to enter the starting nine in his stead.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Held out Thursday
Moncada (hamstring) is not in the lineup against the Twins on Thursday.
The second baseman was lifted from Wednesday's contest with left hamstring tightness after coming up lame during a slide into third base. Moncada will receive a day off to recover from the injury while Yolmer Sanchez starts at the keystone. Consider him day-to-day moving forward.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Another RBI in Wednesday's loss
Segura went 2-for-5 with an RBI single in a loss to the Athletics on Wednesday.
Segura notched his 24th RBI of the season, one-third of which have come in the last four games alone. The 28-year-old couldn't come through in the ninth, however, as his groundout to third with the bases juiced ended the game. Despite coming up short, Segura is still hitting an eye-popping .471 over his 38 plate appearances with men in scoring position.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: In Thursday's lineup
Ramirez (groin) will play third base and bat third in the order against Toronto in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Ramirez received a day off Wednesday in order to get some rest while dealing with mild right groin/hip soreness. Manager Terry Francona implied that Ramirez could've played during Wednesday's game against Texas, so expect the 25-year-old to be fully operational moving forward.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Activated ahead of twin bill
The Blue Jays activated Donaldson (shoulder) from the 10-day disabled list Thursday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Donaldson missed just over three weeks with right shoulder inflammation, but the Blue Jays are confident the star third baseman won't experience any further issues with his throwing after taking the time off to recover from the injury. The 32-year-old recently completed a two-game rehab assignment at High-A Dunedin, going 2-for-5 with a walk in those contests. Perhaps more importantly, Donaldson logged seven innings at the hot corner Tuesday and made crisp throws on each of three occasions he needed to retire a batter at first base. The Blue Jays haven't revealed their lineup for the first game of their doubleheader Thursday against the Indians, but it's generally expected that Donaldson will start at third base in at least one of the contests while heading to the bench or serving as the designated hitter for the other contest.
