LeMahieu plated three runs as part of a 2-for-4 day in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Angels.

LeMahieu drove in the Yankees' first run of the night on a sixth-inning double, hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh and broke a 5-5 tie with an RBI single in the top of the ninth. The pair of hits helped end a 4-for-40 skid for LeMahieu over the Yankees' previous 10 contests. With eight position players currently on the injured list, LeMahieu has not only locked down an everyday gig, but he also appears fairly secure as the club's leadoff hitter.

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, four RBI, a walk and stolen base in a 6-2 victory against the Marlins on Wednesday.

Owners hope this is the breakout game they've been waiting for from Ramirez. It's been an extremely slow start for the 26-year-old, as he has been hovering around the .150 mark in batting average for most of April. Even after the three-hit game, the average rose to just .184. He has two homers, nine RBI, 12 runs and six stolen bases in 87 at-bats this season.

Candelario went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's 11-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Candelario again batted leadoff, as he did in both games of Tuesday's doubleheader at Fenway Park. The 25-year-old may have supplanted veteran Josh Harrison as the team's preferred hitter atop the order, though Candelario's .238 average and .640 OPS are far from elite, so his fantasy appeal remains limited.

Chapman went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Rangers.

Chapman took Jesse Chavez deep in the fifth inning to record his eighth home run of the season, and second in as many days. Not only has he begun the season hitting for plenty of power, but he's also shown strong plate discipline by posting an impressive 11:14 K:BB.

Bregman went 1-for-3 with a walk and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Twins.

The Astros had fallen behind 3-0 after one inning and spent the rest of the game trying to dig out of the hole. Bregman delivered a two-out, two-run single in the fifth inning to give Houston its first lead, then after Minnesota tied the game in the seventh, the third baseman drove in a run on a sacrifice fly for the deciding run. Batting third in the order, Bregman is in position to drive in a lot of runs but that wasn't the case early on. After knocking in three runs over the first 14 games, the 25-year-old has plated nine over the last seven games.

Moncada went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-1 loss to the Orioles.

Moncada was moved up one spot to leadoff for the game, just the second time this season he's hit atop the order this season, and scored the White Sox's lone run. It was his team-leading 20th run. Leury Garcia, who's been the team's primary leadoff hitter, was given a rest day Tuesday and is expected back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale.

Chapman went 1-for-2 with three walks and a solo home run in Tuesday's 11-5 win over the Rangers.

The third baseman has been showing exceptional patience lately, drawing seven free passes in the last three games, and he was rewarded Tuesday with a fastball he yanked over the left-field fence in the first inning for his seventh homer of the year. Chapman's .318/.417/.624 slash line through 26 contests puts the 25-year-old on pace for a breakout in his third MLB campaign.

Candelario will start at third base and serve as the Tigers' leadoff hitter in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Red Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Candelario had led off on two other occasions this season, but both came when Josh Harrison was receiving the day off for rest purposes. The struggling Harrison will be included in the lineup as the No. 7 hitter for the front end of the twin bill, however, signaling that Candelario may represent the Tigers' new top option atop the batting order. Candelario has only managed a .614 OPS through his first 79 plate appearances, but that's still far better than what Harrison (.384 OPS) has been able to provide thus far.

Devers is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

With southpaw Matthew Boyd on the bump for Detroit, the lefty-hitting Devers will rest for the first game of the twin bill, allowing rookie Michael Chavis to pick up a start at the hot corner. Devers is reaching base at an impressive .356 clip this season, but his lack of power production to date has been somewhat concerning. He has yet to slug a home run in 88 plate appearances and owns a 1.1 percent barrel rate, which ranks 314th among the 375 players in the majors who have produced at least 10 batted-ball events this season.

Paredes is slashing .265/.328/.367 through 13 games at Double-A Erie with one home run and 10 RBI.

The batting average is fine and in line with his career mark of .270, but Paredes has seen his slugging percentage drop from .458 in 39 games at Double-A last year to .367 so far this season. The 20-year-old has a career .419 slugging percentage in the minors across four professional seasons, so he will likely begin driving the ball more as the season progresses.
