Chapman (hip) will resume baseball activities Wednesday, John Hickey of SI.com reports.

Chapman is dealing with right hip tendinitis, but he'll test things out Wednesday. He didn't rule out a return by Thursday, but his timetable likely depends on how he feels after participating in baseball activities. Chad Pinder is taking over at third base for Tuesday's matinee.

Paredes isn't in Tuesday's lineup against the Brewers.

Paredes has gone 0-for-18 with seven strikeouts over the past seven games, and he'll get a day off Tuesday. Sergio Alcantara will start at the hot corner in his place.
