  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Receives breather Sunday

Ramirez is not in the lineup Sunday against the Red Sox.

Ramirez started the past 27 games and will receive a well-deserved day off in the series finale at Boston after posting a 1.000 OPS during that stretch. Owen Miller will take over at the hot corner Sunday for Cleveland.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Not starting Sunday

Urshela (hand) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Urshela hasn't played since Tuesday, when he injured his hand during a defensive play. Even with expanded rosters, the Yankees must expect him back soon, considering they haven't placed him on the injured list. Rougned Odor is playing third base and batting eighth Sunday.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Gets day off Sunday

Devers isn't in the lineup for Sunday's series finale against Cleveland.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday and is now hitting .273 with four home runs and nine RBI in his last 10 games. Bobby Dalbec is starting at third base Sunday, with Travis Shaw getting the nod at first.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Records 20th steal

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Boston.

The 28-year-old reached the 20-steal mark for the fourth time in his nine-year career when he stole second in the sixth inning. Ramirez has been one of Cleveland's most productive players this year, adding 32 home runs, 86 RBI, 90 runs scored and a .260/.349/.549 slash line through 524 plate appearances. He'll likely remain in his usual No. 3 spot in the order, as he's started in 27 straight games -- the elbow soreness that bothered him in late July seems to be behind him now.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Launches 24th homer

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Saturday's 10-8 loss to Toronto.

The third baseman continues to tee off lately, with 10 homers in his last 19 games after he managed just 14 in his first 112 contests this year. Chapman's .225 batting average won't turn many heads, but he's posted a reasonable .743 OPS with 67 RBI, 69 runs scored and three stolen bases through 541 plate appearances. If he can finish the year strong, it'll help offset a rather rough first four months.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Homers in win

Devers went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 4-3 win over Cleveland.

With the game deadlocked at 0-0, Devers emphatically altered the score with a three-run homer on a 3-2 count off Blake Parker. The 24-year-old is now working on a five-game hit streak and has hit three home runs off Cleveland pitching in the last seven days.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Managing wrist issue

Moncada isn't starting Saturday against the Royals due to a wrist injury, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Moncada has been experiencing pain in his wrist when he swings from the right side, so he'll be held out Saturday. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench or whether he'll return for Sunday's series finale.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Not in lineup

Moncada will sit Saturday against the Royals.

Moncada will get a rest despite the fact that he's riding a 17-game hitting streak. Romy Gonzalez will take over for him at third base.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Huge performance in rout

Candelario went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, two RBI and four runs scored in Friday's 15-5 win over the Reds.

He was one of the offensive stars of the rout for the Tigers, capping his big night with a solo shot off Vladimir Gutierrez in the fourth inning. Candelario has gone yard in back-to-back games, giving him 12 homers on the year, and over his last 14 contests he's slashing .322/.344/.593 with nine RBI and 11 runs.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Out again Saturday

Urshela (hand) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.

Urshela still has not made an appearance on the field in the month of September after hurting his hand Tuesday while defending a double steal. His MRI came back clean and the Yankees have a couple extra roster spots to work with now, so an IL move doesn't appear to be necessary at this time. Tyler Wade will man third base Saturday.
