Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Crushes fourth home run
Chapman went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Friday's 11-7 loss to the Astros.
Chapman singled and scored on a Raimel Tapia double in the second inning. He then knocked his fourth homer of the year off of Phil Maton in the seventh. The slugging third baseman is slashing .231/.286/.436 with eight extra-base hits through 21 games as a Blue Jay.

Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: Undergoes hand surgery
Kreidler will undergo surgery on his right hand, which was fractured when he was hit by a pitch earlier this week, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
He hit .246/.346/.462 with four home runs and four steals in 18 games at Triple-A prior to suffering the injury. It's possible he could return in the second half of the season.

Blue Jays' Jordan Groshans: Set for Triple-A debut
Groshans will make his debut for Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.
He was dealing with an oblique injury in spring training and was then sent to Single-A Dunedin, which is where the Jays' spring training complex is, to ramp up in games. Groshans notched four hits in five games at Single-A and is now ready to get his first taste of Triple-A. He is capable of playing all over the infield and was reportedly very impressive this spring before getting injured.

Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Promoted, starting Friday
Nevin was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk and will start at third base Friday against Boston, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Nevin missed out on the Opening Day roster but will join the big-league club after spending the first three weeks of the season at Triple-A. He has a .979 OPS in 17 games with Norfolk and may see most of his opportunities at third base since Ryan Mountcastle (neck) is rejoining the lineup Friday and Trey Mancini is also healthy.

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Day off Friday
Donaldson is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.
Donaldson started the past six games and will head to the bench after going 4-for-19 with a home run, a double, five walks, two RBI and three runs during that stretch. DJ LeMahieu will shift to third base while Gleyber Torres starts at the keystone.

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Scores three runs
LeMahieu went 1-for-5 with a double and three runs scored Thursday against the Yankees.
LaMahieu benefitted from some poor defense by the Orioles, as he came around to score on two occasions after reaching base on an error. However, he also doubled to lead off the seventh frame and scored for the third time in the contest. LeMahieu now has at least one hit in 13 of his last 14 games, which has helped him maintain a .313/.389/.469 line across 72 plate appearances to begin the campaign.

Twins' Gio Urshela: Three singles in win
Urshela went 3-for-4 with a run and a RBI in a 7-1 win Thursday over Detroit.
Urshela singled and scored in the second and drove in a run with another single in the sixth. He now has three multi-hit games in his last four appearances and has raised his batting average to .321. The journeyman has only one extra-base hit on the season, a homer on Opening Day, but has made up for it with a high average, a .393 OBP and just six strikeouts in 61 plate appearances.

Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Gets Thursday off
Candelario is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.
He'll sit for the first time this season while he endures a prolonged slump at the plate. Harold Castro will fill it at the hot corner for Candelario, who went 0-for-10 over his last three starts to drop his season-long average to .143.

Royals' Emmanuel Rivera: Called up by Royals
The Royals recalled Rivera from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
Rivera was unable to secure a spot on the Opening Day roster this year, but he slashed .290/.389/.532 with three homers, a triple, four doubles, 11 runs, four RBI and a stolen base during 17 appearances at Triple-A. He'll serve as depth in the infield after Adalberto Mondesi (knee) was placed on the 10-day IL on Thursday.

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Not in Thursday's lineup
Urias will sit Thursday against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Urias has yet to get going at the plate this season, hitting just .203/.242/.237 through 15 games. Kelvin Gutierrez will get the start at third base.
