  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Smacks 13th homer

Paredes went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday against the Orioles.

Paredes launched his 13th homer of the season in the second inning off Tyler Wells. He's in the midst of a nice seven-game stretch, during which he's gone 8-for-21 with a pair of home runs, four RBI and four runs scored. Paredes has benefitted from the absence of Brandon Lowe (back), as he's started 14 consecutive games at third base.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Angels' Gio Urshela: Out for season

Urshela doesn't need surgery on his fractured pelvis, but he will miss the remainder of the season, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Urshela took an awkward tumble while running to first base which forced him out of Thursday's game against Texas. The good news is that he won't need to undergo surgery, so he could be ready for the start of spring training next year, but the book appears to be closed for Urshela this season after he slashed .299/.329/.374 with 24 RBI over 228 plate appearances.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Still without timeline

White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Wednesday that there is still no telling exactly how long Moncada (back) will remain on the injured list, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Moncada landed on the injured list Thursday due to a back issue that has bothered him all season. He's resumed throwing and fielding drills but has yet to step back into the batter's box, which could potentially hint at an absence that lasts into July. A better picture should come into focus as Moncada progresses through his rehab process.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Sits again Wednesday

LeMahieu is out of the lineup again Wednesday versus the Mariners.

It's the third consecutive absence for LeMahieu, who is trying to make some adjustments via side hitting work as he battles through a brutal slump. The 34-year-old has slashed just .163/.200/.279 over his last 90 plate appearances dating back to mid-May.

  • Jonah Bride 3B | TEX

Athletics' Jonah Bride: Sitting again Wednesday

Bride is out of the lineup again Wednesday versus the Guardians.

Jace Peterson will get another start at the hot corner with Tony Kemp covering second base. Bride, 27, has gone 0-for-14 with two walks and five strikeouts over his last six games and is now slashing just .205/.333/.227 on the year.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Stays hot Tuesday

Garcia went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Tigers.

This was Garcia's second three-hit effort in a span of three days. Over his last 12 contests, he's batting .348 (16-for-46) with two stolen bases and three extra-base hits. The speedy infielder slumped a bit in early June, but he's back to solidifying a starting role at third base. He's now batting .282 with a .736 OPS, two home runs, seven steals, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored over 40 games.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Tallies 10th homer

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Mets.

Bregman took former teammate Justin Verlander deep in the third inning to tally his 10th homer of the season. It was his fourth long ball in his last 20 starts, a span during which he's maintained a .352 on-base percentage and .468 slugging percentage. Though it's a small sample, he's shown signs of breaking out of his slow start to the campaign.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Bats third against righty

Jung batted third and went 0-for-5 in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the White Sox.

One day after Bruce Bochy moved Jung to third in the order against a lefty, the manager did the same thing against a righty Tuesday. Bochy talked about breaking up two consecutive lefty hitters -- Corey Seager and Nathaniel Lowe -- against southpaws after Monday's game, but it appears he may be inclined to make the change regardless of who is pitching.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Angels' Gio Urshela: Visiting with specialists

Urshela (pelvis) visited with a specialist earlier in the week and will see another on Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The Angels will have a better sense of his timeline after the visit Wednesday, Bollinger notes. Urshela was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left pelvis fracture before Friday's game. The veteran infielder will miss at least another week, but it's possible this will be an injury that keeps him out of action for a longer period.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Returns to lineup Tuesday

Henderson (illness) will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff Tuesday versus the Rays in his return to the lineup, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Henderson was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup against the Cubs due to a stomach bug, but he's feeling well enough to play Tuesday following Monday's off day. The rookie infielder has been on fire in June, sporting a 1.119 OPS with five home runs over 12 contests.
