Josh Donaldson hits game winner for Blue Jays
Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson broke a 1-1 tie with a solo home run, leading Toronto to a 2-1 win over the White Sox.
Donaldson went 1 for 3 with a walk. He hit his 21st home run of the season and second in as many days.
Donaldson has hit in the last three games, going 5 for 11.

Rays 3B Evan Longoria belts two-run home run in Game 1 of DH
Rays third baseman Evan Longoria chipped in a two-run home run in the 9-5 loss to the Royals in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader. Longoria's home run, his ninth of the year, was his only hit of the game. It came in the fourth inning to temporarily tie the game at 3-3.
Longoria is 11 for 40 with two home runs over his last 10 games.

Manny Machado gets second homer in three games for Orioles
Orioles third baseman Manny Machado hit his 18th home run of the season and second in the last three games, in Monday's loss to Minnesota.
Machado went 2 for 4 with a walk. He turned in his first multi-hit game in the last seven.

Blue Jays 3B Josh Donaldson homers in losing effort Monday
Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson connected on his 20th home run of the season during Monday's 4-2 loss to the White Sox.
Donaldson hit the solo shot off Chris Sale in the sixth inning. He finished the game 2 for 3 at the plate. Prior to his two-hit game Monday, Donaldson was hitting .250 with two home runs and 10 RBI in his last 15 games.

AL Starters announced for 2015 All-Star Game
The American League starters for the 2015 All-Star Game on July 14 were announced Sunday. The Royals will send four starters to the Summer Classic, with Salvador Perez, Alcides Escobar, Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon leading the votes in their respective positions.
Angels outfielder Mike Trout will make his fourth consecutive All-Star appearance. He received the most votes of any outfielder and the second most on the AL roster.
Catcher: Salvador Perez, Royals
First baseman: Miguel Cabrera, Tigers (injured)
Second baseman: Jose Altuve, Astros
Third baseman: Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays (top AL vote-getter)

Twins 3B Trevor Plouffe collects three hits in win on Saturday
Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe had a nice night at the plate in the 5-3 win over the Royals on Saturday. Plouffe just missed hitting for the cycle, as he went 3 for4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
Plouffe seems to be heating up at the plate again, as he is batting .316 with a home run and five RBI over his last 10 games.

Orioles 3B Manny Machado slams 17th home run of season
Orioles third baseman Manny Machado hit his 17th home run of the season on Saturday against the White Sox.
Machado went 1 for 3 with a two-run shot in the eighth inning that tied the game at 2-2.
Machado is hitting .364 with 24 hits, six doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI over his last 16 games.

Blue Jays' Danny Valencia belts solo home run in loss on Thursday
Blue Jays outfielder Danny Valencia went 2 for 4 on Thursday in the 12-6 loss to the Red Sox. Valencia launched his fifth home run of the season, but it was too little, too late. The home run came in the ninth inning with the game already well out of reach.
Valencia has hit two home runs in his last 11 plate-appearances.

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson homers, doubles in win Wednesday
Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson totaled three hits, including his 20th double and 19th home run, in five at-bats during an 11-2 win Wednesday against the Red Sox. He finished with two runs, two RBI and one strikeout.
Both of his RBI came on a one-out home run off of Jonathan Aro in the eighth inning. It was his second home run in four games and his fourth home run since June 1.
Donaldson is batting .283 (15 for 53) with two home runs, five doubles, six RBI, eight runs, five walks and 17 strikeouts in his last 13 games.
