X-rays on Machado's left wrist came back negative, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Machado was forced out of Wednesday's game after Andrew McCutchen spiked him while sliding into third base. Although it appears he avoided any serious injury, he'll likely get an MRI on Thursday to confirm everything is clear. He should be considered day-to-day until the Orioles update his status.

Plouffe went 1-for-2 with a home run and a walk in Wednesday's loss to Toronto.

Plouffe blasted a 1-0 fastball from Francisco Liriano 410 feet to left field, bringing the A's to within one run. Plouffe has been struggling through a major power drought lately. He hadn't homered in 20 games and had just one RBI during that stretch. While Plouffe can provide some home runs in bunches, he doesn't offer much else.

Donaldson went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and three walks in Wednesday's win over Oakland.

Donaldson didn't have a hit during the first nine innings on Wednesday, but he got a big one in the 10th. His two-run homer was his second game-winning long ball in a week. It hasn't taken the 2015 AL MVP long to get his power stroke going. In just 11 games since his return from the disabled list, Donaldson has five home runs. You can expect more of the same as long as he remains healthy.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.

Ramirez was responsible for the Indians' only run on Wednesday, collecting his eighth long ball of the year off Kyle Freeland in the seventh inning. In his last 12 games, Ramirez is 17-for-45 (.378) with two home runs and has collected four of his six stolen bases during that stretch. Ramirez has followed up his breakthrough 2016 campaign with a strong start to 2017, adding a .290 average and 27 RBI to excellent position flexibility.

Machado was removed early from Wednesday's game with left wrist soreness.

Machado was spiked in the wrist by Andrew McCutchen while attempting put a tag down on him, and although he was able to finish the inning in the field, Ruben Tejada pinch hit for him in the bottom half of the inning. It's possible Machado's removal was precautionary, but more should be known once the Orioles update his status.

Valencia went 1-for-3 with three RBI from a bases-loaded double in Tuesday's 12-3 win over the Twins. He also walked and scored twice.

The veteran infielder essentially broke the game open in the fourth with his bases-clearing two-bagger, vaulting the Mariners to an 8-2 lead at the time. It was Valencia's third multi-RBI effort in the last six contests and extended what has been a torrid stretch at the plate, one that's seen him hit .588 and compile a whopping 10 RBI over his first five games of June.

Duffy (heel) went through fielding drills and took batting practice Tuesday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

While it's good to see that Duffy has resumed on-field activities, manager Kevin Cash indicated the Rays still haven't flushed out a timetable for the infielder's return from the heel injury, which has sidelined him all season. Given the length of Duffy's absence, he may require several rehab games in the minors before the Rays feel comfortable activating him from the 10-day disabled list.

Escobar played the ninth inning of Monday's loss to Seattle at catcher. He started at DH and went 2-for-4.

He's been Minnesota's emergency catcher, but it was his first career appearance in a game. He may qualify at catcher in some formats as a result. It's unlikely he'll get more time at the position this season, however. Escobar is a utility infielder, but has nine starts at DH this season thanks to his .985 OPS against left-handed pitching.

Segura (ankle) agreed Wednesday with the Mariners on a five-year, $70 million contract extension, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.

The Mariners dealt away two prized young assets in pitcher Taijuan Walker and infielder Ketel Marte to the Diamondbacks in the offseason in order to upgrade the shortstop spot with the addition of Segura, and he's certainly proven that his career-best 2016 campaign wasn't a fluke. He was slashing .341/.391/.462 with seven stolen bases across 197 plate appearances before suffering a high-ankle sprain earlier this month that could keep him sidelined until the end of June. With the confidence that the ankle issue won't be anything that dampens Segura's long-term outlook, the Mariners elected to lock in the 27-year-old through the 2022 season, buying out his final year of arbitration in the process.

Moustakas had a huge game against the Astros on Tuesday, going 4-for-5 with a double, a homer, three RBI and two runs.

His 15th long ball of the year ended the game in the bottom of the ninth and put a cap on a brilliant day for Moustakas, who's hit safely in six straight games, going 11-for-24 with two homers and three doubles in that span. His batting average is now up to a respectable .275, which complements his power output quite nicely. If Moustakas finds his way to a new team with a better lineup prior to the trade deadline, his fantasy value could really take off.
