  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Scores three times, steals base

Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Mariners. He also stole a base.

Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a stolen base Monday and kept on rolling Tuesday. The infielder is now batting a robust .356 and he's stolen five bases in just 10 games. Hoerner seems to be the catalyst of Chicago's offense at the moment, and he should remain locked into fantasy lineups while he's this hot.

  • Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM

Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Blasts game-winning three-run homer

Bae went 1-for-5 with a game-winning three-run home run in a 7-4 victory over the Astros on Tuesday.

With a pair of runners on and one out in the bottom of the ninth, Bae blistered a ball over the left-centerfield fence off Ryan Pressly to give the Pirates the win. Even while hitting just .242 with a .265 on-base percentage, Bae has shown some flashes of brilliance over the first 11 games of the season with a pair of homers, two stolen bases and six RBI over 33 at-bats.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Removed after tweaking hip flexor

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Torres was removed from Tuesday's lineup against the Guardians after he tweaked his right hip flexor/groin area, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports. He went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored before leaving.

Kuty notes that Boone did not sound too worried about the infielder's status going forward, and that he's not scheduled to undergo testing at this time. The 25-year-old infielder should be considered day-to-day for now with a good chance to return to the lineup Wednesday against the Guardians.

  • Edouard Julien 2B | COL

Twins' Edouard Julien: Receiving promotion Wednesday

The Twins plan to call up Julien from Triple-A St. Paul ahead of Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Julien will be joining the roster as a replacement for Joey Gallo, who will be placed on the 10-day injured list with a right intercostal strain. Coming off an impressive showing in the World Baseball Classic, Julien has posted a .934 OPS through 29 at-bats at St. Paul heading into Tuesday. Julien appears to have a bright future, but fantasy players should be cognizant that he won't be guaranteed everyday playing time to begin his MLB career.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Good chance to play Wednesday

Nationals manager Davey Martinez told reporters that Garcia (hamstring) is available off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Angels with a good chance to return to the starting lineup Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Garcia has been out since leaving Friday's game with tightness in his hamstring. Even if the infielder doesn't get into the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, it sounds like he'll be ready to roll for the Nationals by the end of the week and avoid a trip to the injured list.

  • Edouard Julien 2B | COL

Twins' Edouard Julien: Removed from Triple-A lineup

Julien was removed early from Tuesday's lineup for Triple-A St. Paul ahead of a possible promotion.

Julien was removed shortly after the Twins announced that Joey Gallo was headed to the injured list with a right intercostal strain. It's probably not a coincidence. Julien is one of the top prospects in the Minnesota system, and came into Tuesday's contest with a .934 OPS and two home runs over 29 at-bats. The question will be how much playing Julien will get in Gallo's absence if he does indeed receive a promotion.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Absent again Tuesday

Garcia (hamstring) is out of the lineup again Tuesday versus the Angels.

Garcia has been sidelined since last Friday due to hamstring tightness. He's still being labeled as day-to-day. Michael Chavis will start at second base and bat eighth for the Nationals on Tuesday night against the Angels and Shohei Ohtani.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Out of lineup Tuesday

Estrada is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.

David Villar will play second base and bat sixth versus the rival Dodgers and right-hander Dustin May. J.D. Davis is covering third base and batting third.

  • Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM

Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Batting leadoff Tuesday

Bae is batting leadoff Tuesday against the Astros.

Bae did not start Sunday or Monday, but he'll jump to the top of the Pirates' order Tuesday against Houston right-hander Cristian Javier. The versatile 23-year-old is 7-for-28 (.250) with one home run and two stolen bases through eight games this season.

  • Blue Jays' Whit Merrifield: Sitting out Tuesday

Merrifield is absent from the Blue Jays' lineup Tuesday against the Tigers.

He had started each of the last six contests but will sit this one out. Cavan Biggio will play second base while Daulton Varsho and George Springer handle the corner outfield spots.
