The Giants recalled Diaz from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

With Mike Yastrzemski (hamstring) headed to the injured list, Diaz will come up from the minors to give the Giants another bat on their bench. Diaz is slashing .250/.337/.511 across 104 plate appearances in the minors, but has had very limited success throughout his career in the big leagues.

Mathias was traded from the Mariners to the Giants on Monday along with designated hitter AJ Pollock and cash for a player to be named later, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Mathias was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on July 2 and AJ Pollock might be seen as a negative value contract, so there likely won't be a notable prospect headed back to Seattle. Mathias, who turns 29 on Wednesday, is a career .249/.323/.402 hitter with six home runs and seven steals in 68 big-league games. He'll likely report to the Giants' Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento.

Rojas was traded from the Diamondbacks to the Mariners on Monday along with Dominic Canzone and Ryan Bliss in exchange for Paul Sewald, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Rojas, 29, is in the midst of his worst season since 2020, as he is slashing .228/.292/.296 with zero home runs and six steals in 59 games. He has essentially been a replacement-level player (minus-0.1 fWAR), and Rojas will contend with Kolten Wong and Jose Caballero for playing time in Seattle.

Kim (shoulder) is leading off and serving as the designated hitter Monday in Colorado.

He exited Sunday's game with a jammed right shoulder but won't miss any further time with the issue, although he'll be spared from his defensive duties Monday. Kim is slashing .341/.451/.553 with five home runs, eight steals and more walks (15) than strikeouts (14) in 85 at-bats this month.

Montes was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

The 26-year-old second baseman was recalled the same day Brendan Rodgers (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day injured list, so Montes should be assuming a bench role. Montes has hit .184 with one home run in 41 MLB plate appearances but slashed .317/.409/.549 in 73 games in the Pacific Coast League.

Rodgers (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Padres.

The shoulder injury Rodgers suffered in spring training cost him two thirds of the season, and he joins a last-place Rockies team that will be evaluating players for 2024 and beyond, Rodgers included. He hit .265 with one home run and seven strikeouts in 10 rehab games and should replace Harold Castro atop the depth chart at second base.

Massey went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Twins.

Massey has found ways to be productive lately, going 9-for-31 (.290) with four home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases over his last eight games. He has four multi-hit efforts in that span, which has raised his batting average to .217 on the year. The second baseman has played steadily despite a lackluster .625 OPS, and with Nicky Lopez traded to Atlanta, Massey's role should be further solidified over the remaining two months of the campaign. Samad Taylor and Matt Duffy are Massey's biggest competitors for playing time at the keystone.

Lowe went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Astros.

Lowe tagged Phil Maton for a two-run shot in the sixth inning Sunday, marking Lowe's 13th long ball of 2023 and his third in the last five games. During that five-game stretch, Lowe is batting .474 with seven RBI and five runs scored. On the year (70 games), Lowe is slashing .226/.321/.439 and is striking out at a 27.7 percent clip.

Westburg went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Westburg was able to get involved in the Orioles' seven-run rally in the first inning. The infielder's steal was his second of the season, both of which have come in his last six games. He's gone 3-for-17 over his last eight contests, so he's seen a somewhat limited role during his first big-league stint. Overall, he has a .253/.309/.413 slash line with a home run, eight RBI and 11 runs scored across 81 plate appearances.

Frazier went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Frazier swatted the homer during the Orioles' seven-run first inning. The 31-year-old has seen his playing time waver a bit lately, but he's still gone 6-for-18 (.333) with three doubles over his last seven games. He's at a .239/.301/.425 slash line with a career-high 13 homers, 49 RBI, 45 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 97 contests overall.
