Schneider went 2-for-4 with a double and solo home run in Tuesday's loss to Texas.

Schneider smashed a 418-foot moonshot off Aroldis Chapman in the ninth inning that boasted 104.9 mph exit velocity for his eighth homer of the season. The rookie has garnered 15 starts in the Blue Jays' last 16 games amid a torrid stretch dating back to Aug. 26. In 51 at-bats since then, he has hit .373 with nine doubles, five homers, 16 runs and 14 RBI.

Gorman was removed from Tuesday's game against the Orioles due to right hamstring tightness, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Gorman had to leave Tuesday's game after injuring himself while legging out an infield single in the second inning. There's still no word on how severe Gorman's injury is, but the Cardinals will likely offer more details before Wednesday's contest. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the time being.

Kim isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Kim will get a rare day off Tuesday after slashing just .195/.267/.195 across 46 plate appearances since Sept. 1. Matthew Batten will start at second base Tuesday while Eguy Rosario gets the nod at third and bats ninth.

Gimenez isn't in the Guardians' lineup Tuesday against San Francisco.

The lefty-hitting Gimenez will take a seat Tuesday as southpaw Sean Manaea starts on the mound for the Giants. Tyler Freeman will start at the keystone and bat sixth in Gimenez's place.

Rojas isn't in the Mariners' lineup Tuesday against the Angels.

The left-handed bat of Rojas will take a seat Tuesday as left-hander Patrick Sandoval takes the mound for Los Angeles. Jose Caballero will fill in at second base and bat ninth while Rojas is out.

Drury isn't in the Angels' lineup Tuesday against Seattle, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Drury will get a chance to regroup Tuesday after going just 2-for-21 with a homer and two RBI across his last five games. His absence will allow Eduardo Escobar to start at second base while batting fifth.

The Red Sox optioned Valdez to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

With Pablo Reyes (elbow) returning from the injured list Tuesday, Valdez will be pushed off the active roster and sent back to the minors. Valdez went 7-for-21 with a homer, four RBI and five runs scored since being recalled Sept. 1, and the Red Sox could still bring him back as a depth option before the end of the season.

Merrifield, who is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Rangers, is dealing with left groin tightness, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Per Davidi, Merrifield is likely available off the bench. He may not have started anyway against tough righty Max Scherzer, as Merrifield has seen his playing time slip against same-handed pitching.

Peguero is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Nationals.

Ji Hwan Bae will play second base and bat leadoff against the Nats and right-hander Joan Adon. Jack Suwinski is in center field and hitting cleanup. Peguero has put up solid numbers versus lefties this season, but he is slashing just .198/.243/.396 in 105 plate appearances versus righties.

Merrifield is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rangers.

It seems that Merrifield has fallen into the short side of a platoon, as this will be Merrifield's third straight game sitting against a righty. He last started against a righty Sept. 8.
