Forsythe (shoulder) is up to taking swings off tossed balls in his rehab process, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

It was another step in what has been a productive rehab week for Forsythe, who'd managed to hit off a tee for the first time Tuesday. The latest development occurred Thursday afternoon, keeping the second baseman on track for a mid-June return from the DL.

Beckham (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL Thursday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Jorunal Constitution reports.

Beckham was forced to exit Wednesday's matchup due to what was later described as a hamstring strain, and it turns out the ailment will cost him a stint on the DL. While he's on the shelf, both Daniel Castro and Chas d'Arnaud will be candidates to earn extra playing time for the Braves. In the meantime, the Braves will promote utility player Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Beckham (hamstring) is out of the lineup Thursday against the Giants.

Beckham would have likely been in the lineup against lefty Madison Bumgarner, but the infielder sustained a hamstring strain in Wednesday's contest. Rather than make his eighth consecutive start, Beckham will instead take a seat in favor of Daniel Castro at shortstop. Consider Beckham questionable for Friday's series opener in St. Louis.

Solarte went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs in a 14-6 blowout of the Mariners on Wednesday.

It's a tiny sample (54 at-bats) and past performance should not be considered an indicator of future results, but with those disclaimers out of the way, Solarte can currently lay claim to being a .333 hitter with an OPS north of 1.000. He's not that kind of hitter, so we'll see his results fade toward the .270/.320/.428 line he posted in 2015, but the 28-year-old does make a lot of contact and is only in his second year as a full-time player, so we haven't necessarily seen the best campaign(s) of his career yet.

Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a home run and a strikeout against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Hernandez's homer was all the offense the Dodgers could muster against Jon Lester, but it was nice to see the infielder going deep against a lefty. Prior to this game, Hernandez had hit .220 against southpaws this season, so perhaps he will boost his confidence after this performance. He's hit safely in three of the last four games.

Beckham is day-to-day after sustaining a left hamstring strain in Wednesday's matchup with the Giants.

Beckham was forced to leave Wednesday's contest early. He was 0-for-3 with one RBI before exiting. The Giants have listed him as day-to-day, so his status for Thursday's series finale is certainly up in the air.

Hernandez is in the lineup and leading off for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Hernandez is likely starting to optimize the matchups with lefty Jon Lester on the mound. However, the 24-year-old is still hitting just .220 with two home runs against lefties this season and is facing one of the best in Lester, so his fantasy value is limited.

Tomlinson is in the lineup and batting eighth for Wednesday's game against the Braves.

Tomlinson will start for Brandon Crawford at shortstop and is having an excellent season in a reserve role for the Giants, hitting .324/.395/.368 with three RBI, eight runs, and five stolen bases.

Espinosa went 1-for-4 with a two-run shot, his sixth home run of the season, in Tuesday's win over the Phillies.

His batting average is still hovering right around the Mendoza Line, but Espinosa at least finished up the month of May by hitting three home runs in his last six games. The clock is probably ticking on his stint as the Nats' starting shortstop, though, as Trea Turner continues to play well at Triple-A (.314/.378/.479 and a perfect 16-for-16 on stolen base attempts) and could get the call at any moment.

Giavotella is out of the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Tigers, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Giavotella will sit out in favor of Cliff Pennington batting seventh and getting the start at shortstop. Giavotella has gotten at least one hit in his last five games, so it looks like this is just a routine rest day.
