  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Back in lineup

Fitzgerald (chest) will start at second base and bat ninth in Tuesday's game against the Padres, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

A chest contusion has prevented Fitzgerald from playing in either of the Giants' last two games, but he seems to have fully recovered ahead of Tuesday's contest. The 27-year-old has slashed .294/.351/.412 over the past two weeks, though he is hitless in his last seven trips to the plate.

  • Dylan Moore 2B | TEX

Mariners' Dylan Moore: Placed on IL with hip inflammation

The Mariners placed Moore on the 10-day injured list with right hip inflammation.

It's another blow to the Mariners' infield depth after Ryan Bliss suffered a torn biceps earlier in April. It's unclear when Moore suffered the injury, but it doesn't sound like a long-term issue. Moore has been one of Seattle's top hitters this season, slashing .286/.346/.557 with six home runs, nine RBI, 16 runs scored and five stolen bases. Leo Rivas and Miles Mastrobuoni are candidates to see more playing time for the Mariners.

  • Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Out against left-hander

Holliday is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Yankees.

The left-handed-hitting Holliday will grab a seat as the Yankees send lefty Carlos Rodon to the bump. Jorge Mateo is at second base and batting eighth for the Orioles.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | NYM

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Not starting Tuesday

McNeil is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona.

With lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on the bump for the Diamondbacks, McNeil will take a seat. In three games since returning from the injured list, McNeil has already seen action at second base and in center and right field. Luisangel Acuna is starting at second Tuesday.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting versus lefty

Stott is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

With left-hander MacKenzie Gore on the mound for the Nationals, Stott will come off the bench Tuesday. Edmundo Sosa is getting the nod at second base and batting seventh.

  • Adael Amador SS | COL

Rockies' Adael Amador: Not in lineup Tuesday

Amador is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

Amador will come off the bench for the second time in the last three days. Since being recalled from Triple-A earlier this month, Amador is slashing .219/.286/.406 with three doubles, one home run, three RBI and two runs scored across 36 plate appearances. Kyle Farmer is getting the nod at second base and batting seventh versus AJ Smith-Shawver.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | KC

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Out of lineup versus left-hander

Frazier is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

It's southpaw Shota Imanaga on the bump for the Cubs, so the left-handed-hitting Frazier will grab a seat. Jared Triolo will play second base and bat eighth for the Pirates.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | COL

Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Resumes baseball activity

Estrada (wrist) has resumed fielding drills and light swinging of the bat, MLB.com reports.

Estrada fractured his wrist late in spring training and was recently shifted to the 60-day injured list. This progress is positive news, but he'll be sidelined until at least late May.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Splitting time at second base

Dubon went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored Monday against the Tigers.

Dubon began the season in a clear bench role, though his playing time has started to tick up at second base. Houston has shifted its order around in an effort to jump-start its offense, with Dubon starting four of the team's last eight games -- splitting evenly with Brendan Rodgers. The split of time hasn't been predictable by matchup, and one of Rodgers or Dubon is likely to emerge as the primary option based on performance.

  • Matt McLain SS | CIN

Reds' Matt McLain: Snaps hitless run

McLain went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's 3-1 win over the Cardinals.

McLain's seventh-inning single was his first hit in a week. It ended an 0-for-21 stretch that dropped his average to .157. He's had bad luck early on, as McLain is in the top tier in barrel (18.6 percent, 94th percentile) and hard-hit (53.5, 90th) rates through 20 games. Over time, results begin to correct, which suggests McLain is due for a productive stretch.
