Kemp started in left field and went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the White Sox.

Kemp, who entered Sunday's game after George Springer (back) was removed, has started both games since. He's 3-for-6 with a double as the fill-in starter. Springer is not yet ready to bat or play the field but is available as a pinch runner if needed.

Arraez knocked a solo home run while going 2-for-4 in a victory over the Angels on Tuesday.

Arraez's first home run as a major leaguer -- a 384-foot shot to center field -- closed out the scoring for the Twins in the comeback victory. Since his debut May 18, the rookie is hitting an eye-popping .583 (7-for-12). Judging by his .344 average in 160 minor-league at-bats this year, the ability to hit for average may be legit, though the power display Tuesday probably is not -- he has hit only six homers in 1,376 career minor-league at-bats.

Albies will receive a rare off day Tuesday against the Giants.

Albies sits for just the second time this season. He's hitting just .179/.273/.214 over his last eight games. Johan Camargo gets the start at second base.

Rengifo was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake and is starting at second base while hitting eighth Tuesday against the Twins.

This is the corresponding move to Andrelton Simmons landing on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain -- an injury that can carry an 8-to-12-week timetable. Rengifo is a better fit at second base, so David Fletcher is serving as the Angels' shortstop, but it still seems like Rengifo will have an opportunity to prove he belongs in the big leagues this time around. He is not a true burner, but has good instincts on the bases and could be a fantasy asset in that department as long as he is playing regularly. Rengifo, 22, hit .275/.333/.468 with five home runs and three steals in 120 plate appearances in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League this season.

Rodgers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

This is classic Rockies, but Ryan McMahon did make a strong case for another start with two homers Sunday. The 22-year-old Rodgers went 1-for-8 with four strikeouts in his first two big-league games before these back-to-back absences. It remains to be seen how exactly the playing-time split at second base will shake out.

Turang has recorded at least one hit in 12 of his last 13 games with Low-A Wisconsin. He's hit .308 (16-for-52) with a home run, seven RBI, six stolen bases and 8:10 BB:K over that span.

Turang is playing full-season ball for the first time since being taken in the first round last year, and he is getting the job done at the dish, posting a .295/.406/.388 slash line over 38 games while also succeeding on 12 of his 15 stolen-base attempts. It would be nice to see some more power from him, but at just 19 years old, he has plenty of time to add that to his arsenal.

Arraez went 3-for-4 with a run scored Monday in the Twins' 3-1 win over the Angels.

After reaching base three times in Sunday's series finale in Seattle, Arraez was awarded a second straight start at second base Monday. The rookie again delivered at the dish, adding three base hits to his ledger while coming around to score the Twins' first run of the night. Despite the strong start to his MLB career, Arraez doesn't appear to have a clear path to everyday playing time with the Twins at full strength around the diamond and seemingly committed to Jonathan Schoop and Jorge Polanco as their regular middle-infield tandem.

Andrus (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Tuesday.

Andrus is eligible to return from the injured list Saturday and reportedly expects a minimum-length stay. Given how soon he's starting his rehab assignment, he appears to be on target to return on that date.

Frazier, who has a modest four-game hitting streak, is 4-for-8 with three doubles against Tuesday's starter, German Marquez.

He held a career .280 batting average prior to 2019 but has struggled to a slash line of .255/.314/.354 this year. Frazier missed several games with a back issue early on and has hit just .242 since returning April 21. The injury could have affected his ability to run -- he has two stolen bases overall and has attempted just one since April 13. His 0.4 defensive WAR at second base marks the first time he's registered a positive fielding rating, but the team was likely expecting more after installing him as its everyday second baseman.

Rosario went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's win over the Nationals.

The shortstop took Patrick Corbin deep in the first inning for his fourth homer of the year. Strikeouts remain the biggest obstacle between Rosario and a true breakout at the plate -- he fanned twice Monday, leaving him with a 26.6 percent strikeout rate on the year -- but he continues to make incremental progress overall, slashing .265/.311/.410 through 43 games.
