Jackson hit a pair of home runs for rookie-level Orem on Monday, bringing his season total to 17 long balls in 49 games.

Jackson, the Angels' second-round pick in 2018, set Orem's single-season record with his 16th homer in the second inning and added another in the fifth. Currently the fifth-ranked prospect in the organization, Jackson has now hit 24 long balls in 92 career minor-league games, though he has also struck out 131 times in 365 at-bats.

Torres went 4-for-8 with three home runs and seven RBI in Monday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

Torres hit a solo shot in the first game, a three-run home run in the fifth inning of the nightcap and added another three-run shot in the sixth inning of Game 2. Torres has hit 13 of his 26 home runs against the Orioles, setting a new record for most homers by a player against a single opponent in a season in the divisional era. The 22-year-old has a .283/.349/.524 slash line with 26 home runs this season.

Frazier will head to the bench for Monday's game against the Angels.

Frazier is in line for a night off with a lefty in Jose Suarez slated to take the mound for the opposition. Kevin Newman draws the start at the keystone and will lead off with Frazier out of the equation.

Drury will start at first base and bat eighth Monday against the Rangers, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

With four starts in the Jays' previous six games, Drury has already been handling a semi-regular role, but he could benefit from even more steady work after Toronto lost middle infielder Freddy Galvis to the Reds via a waiver claim earlier Monday. Now that Galvis is out of the picture, Cavan Biggio should take over as the Jays' everyday second baseman, leaving spots at designated hitter and first base available primarily for Justin Smoak and Drury.

The Diamondbacks selected Rojas' contract from Triple-A Reno ahead of Monday's game against the Rockies.

The 25-year-old Rojas didn't enter this season with much buzz in prospect circles, but he put himself on the radar by slashing .315/.403/.575 with 20 home runs and 32 steals between Double-A Corpus Christi and Triple-A Round Rock in Houston's organization before he was one of four minor-league players sent to Arizona on July 31 in the Zack Greinke deal. Rojas continued to mash at Triple-A Reno, going 18-for-35 with eight extra-base hits in eight games with the affiliate before getting his first call to the big leagues. He'll likely see most of his initial opportunities at second base, with Ketel Marte likely shifting to center field on the occasions Rojas starts.

The Red Sox placed Chavis on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Chavis had started nine of the Red Sox's 12 games in August and wasn't reported to have suffered an injury in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Angels, so the shoulder issue may have been something he had played through recently. The AC joint sprain may explain in part why Chavis had gone just 5-for-32 with 12 strikeouts on the month, taking some wind out of his sails after a tremendous start to his big-league career earlier this season. Chavis' absence for at least the next week and a half paves the way for Brock Holt to earn more work at the keystone. Per Bill Koch of The Providence Journal, the rookie has no timetable for a return; he won't swing for the next 5-to-6 days and he will go from there.

Rojas is batting .514/.575/.943 with three home runs and 14 RBI over eight games at Triple-A Reno.

Rojas was acquired by the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline, part of the return from the Astros for Zack Greinke. He plays multiple positions in the infield and outfield, bouncing around left field, right field, third base and shortstop. He could be of use at corner outfield in Arizona. The Diamondbacks' corner outfielders have collectively slugged .341 in 39 games since June 23.

McNeil went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 7-4 loss to Washington.

McNeil swatted a two-run double in the second inning to tie the game at 3-3. The All-Star utility man has gone 14-of-36 (.389) with 14 runs scored and eight extra-base hits so far in August.

Hernandez (hand) is expected to go on a rehab assignment next week, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

He has been hitting in the cage and is ready nearly ready to face pitching in games. It sounds like he could return either next weekend or the following week. A late-August return seems likely.

Urias is not in Sunday's lineup against the Rockies.

He is hitting .300 with one home run, seven strikeouts and three walks in his last 10 games (30 at-bats). Greg Garcia is starting at second base and hitting seventh.
