Polanco went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Orioles.

Polanco was absent from the lineup for four consecutive games prior to Tuesday due to an ankle injury. However, he homered off Dean Kremer in his first at-bat of the contest for his fifth long ball of the season. Despite the encouraging effort, Polanco has failed to record multiple hits in any of his last 10 starts, during which time he has only six knocks in 36 at-bats.

Hoerner was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain after leaving Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The 24-year-old went 2-for-2 before suffering the injury while running out a failed bunt attempt during the sixth inning. Hoerner should be considered day-to-day until the severity of the injury is determined.

Hoerner was removed from Tuesday's game at Pittsburgh with an apparent left hamstring injury, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury during the sixth inning while running out a bunt attempt, and he tumbled over the first-base bag. Hoerner walked off the field with the athletic trainer and should be considered day-to-day.

Arroyo (hand) was activated off the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Arroyo has been out since early May but is ready to go following three rehab games. He'll be available off the bench for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

The Marlins reinstated Diaz from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

The details behind Diaz's absence were never disclosed, but the infielder now rejoins the Marlins. His brief IL stint may have come at a good time, as Diaz went 2-for-28 in his last 11 games before being sidelined. He fills the active roster spot of Brian Anderson (shoulder), whom the Marlins placed on the 10-day IL on Tuesday. Jon Berti will get the nod at the hot corner Tuesday, though Diaz could appear off the bench against the Phillies.

Polanco (ankle) is batting fifth and playing second base in Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

His ankle appears to be fine, as he pinch ran in Monday's contest and now returns to the starting lineup Tuesday against righty Dean Kremer. The switch hitter has struggled at the plate this year, but especially against right-handed pitchers -- Polanco has just a .584 OPS in 113 plate appearances against righties.

Arraez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Oddly, the Twins' typical leadoff hitter against righty pitchers will sit against Dean Kremer. Arraez has hit just .243 in his last nine games, notching just one extra-base hit and no RBI in that span. Jorge Polanco gets the start at second base Tuesday.

Drury will start in right field and bat third in Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

With the Mets dealing with a plethora of injuries in their outfield, the recently signed Drury will get the opportunity to bat in the middle of the lineup against Colorado.

Garcia was recalled by the Nationals on Tuesday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Garcia has a fair amount of prospect pedigree and is still just 21 years old, but he's shown very little in 46 major-league games thus far in his career. His poor 75 wRC+ at least comes with a respectable .270 batting average, but his .299 on-base percentage and .355 slugging percentage are both far from good enough. A .235/.293/.426 line in 17 games for Triple-A Rochester to start this season hardly suggests he's about to break out. Victor Robles (ankle) landed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Miller went 1-for-4 with two runs scored in Monday's 6-5 win over Detroit.

Miller has played in both games since he was called up. The 24-year-old batted seventh and played third base Monday. He's expected to fill a utility role while Franmil Reyes (oblique) is sidelined into July. Miller has struck out five times in nine plate appearances so far -- something he'll need to cut back on to stick in the lineup.
