Diaz will be on the bench for Sunday's game in Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Diaz had started six straight games at third base, but he's now been on the bench for two in a row. His .192/.288/.284 slash line in 265 plate appearances this season doesn't make a strong case for regular at-bats. Eddy Alvarez will make his second straight start at the hot corner Sunday.

Gimenez is on the bench for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Gimenez gets the afternoon off after going 7-for-32 with three doubles and two RBI in his last 10 games. Owen Miller is playing second base and batting seventh Sunday.

Polanco is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

After a 3-for-5, two-homer performance Saturday, Polanco is now hitting .326 with six doubles, five home runs and eight RBI in his last 10 games. Luis Arraez is starting at second base and batting third Sunday.

Lowe is on the bench for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

As is often the case, Lowe takes a seat with a left-hander on the mound. He's hit .273 with a double, two home runs and six RBI in his last 10 games. Joey Wendle starts at second base Sunday and Yandy Diaz plays third.

Lux went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and an RBI in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Padres.

Starting in left field for the second consecutive game, Lux doubled home a run and scored in the third inning, and he singled and scored in the fifth. The 23-year-old's two hits were half the Dodgers' total and his first hits since July 16, though that span only encompasses six big-league games. There's a slight chance Lux could earn outfield eligibility with just a handful of games left in the season and the two recent appearances thus far.

Andrus, who went 1-for-3 with a double in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday, now has a five-game hitting streak during which he's hitting .429 (6-for-14).

The hot-hitting shortstop is in the midst of a timely upswing at the plate as the Athletics make their final playoff push. Andrus' average is back up to .233 following Saturday's production, a pedestrian figure that's nevertheless his best in that category in exactly one month.

India went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run Saturday in a loss to St. Louis.

The rookie was the only Cincinnati player to collect multiple hits in the contest, and his third-inning two-run homer staked the Reds to an early lead. India's long ball was his 20th of the campaign and fourth in his past 15 games. He has inserted his name firmly into the NL Rookie of the Year picture with a .273/.380/.470 slash line, 85 runs, 64 RBI and nine stolen bases.

Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in Saturday's 4-2 win over Houston.

Rengifo gave the Angels a 4-0 cushion in the third inning when he connected for a two-run blast off Houston starter Luis Garcia. He also picked up an RBI earlier in the game with a run-scoring groundout in the first. It's been a difficult year offensively for Rengifo, who is hitting .183 in 111 plate appearances, but he's come alive over his last five games with a 6-for-16 (.375) run and a pair of homers.

Polanco went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Royals.

Polanco's career season continues. He stroked his 28th and 29th homers of the season, extending his career high, and is now slashing .317/.354/.692 with 11 long balls over his last 30 games. Polanco has also driven in a personal-best 86 runs on the year and his .520 slugging percentage would be the best single-season mark of his career.

Kim isn't starting Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Kim is likely in line for increased playing time since Jake Cronenworth is dealing with a fracture on his left ring finger, but he'll remain out of the lineup Saturday. Fernando Tatis will shift to shortstop while Tommy Pham starts in left field.
