Reds' Jonathan India: Remains sidelined
India (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
India left Thursday's game against the Dodgers with a hamstring injury and hasn't seen the field since then. The Reds hinted at a possible move to the injured list for India on Sunday, though no such move has been made yet. Injured list transactions can be backdated three days, so the team could place India on the list Monday and have him available one week later. Brandon Drury remains the starter at second base in his absence.

Jorge Polanco DH | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Homers, plates four in win
Polanco went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Monday's win over the Red Sox.
Polanco's first hit of the day came in the top of the third inning when he homered off Rich Hill, driving in teammate Gilberto Celestino. He later added a two-RBI single in the eighth, scoring Gary Sanchez and Luis Arraez. The homer was his second of the season and the two-hit performance was his third multi-hit effort of the 2022 campaign.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Possible IL trip
The Reds could decide to put India (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list if he's not ready to play Monday against the Padres, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "We do need to make a decision, [Monday] at the latest, to get him back as soon as possible if he does have to go on the IL," manager David Bell said. "We can backdate it three days. It's been sore, but not too bad. Still hoping to avoid the IL."
The Reds played short-handed all weekend against the Dodgers and really struggled without India's bat in the lineup. Placing India on the IL won't cure that, obviously, but it would give the Reds another bat to mix and match late in games.

Vidal Brujan SS | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Battling sore knee
Brujan hasn't appeared in a minor-league game since April 6 due to knee soreness but is expected to return soon, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Brujan missed out on a spot on the Rays' Opening Day roster and hasn't had the chance to make his case for playing time in the minors, as he appeared in just two games before being sidelined for nearly two weeks. Once healthy, he shouldn't be too far from a call-up, as he can play all over the diamond and hit .262/.345/.440 in 103 Triple-A games last season, though the fact that he wasn't on the Opening Day roster may mean it will take an injury ahead of him to open up a roster spot.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Mariners' Adam Frazier: Multiple hits in win
Frazier went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Astros on Sunday.
Frazier once again made noise out of the leadoff spot, extending his current tear at the plate to three games. Factoring in Sunday's production, Frazier went 7-for-13 with a double, a triple, five RBI and three runs over the weekend set against the Astros, boosting his average 123 points to .256 in the process.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Scores twice, swipes bag
Lux went 0-for-2 with two walks, two runs and a stolen base in Sunday's 9-1 win over Cincinnati.
Though Lux didn't notch any hits, he drew a pair of free passes to extend his season-opening on-base streak to nine games. The 24-year-old notched a solid 10.9 percent walk rate last season, but he has shown even more patience at the plate in 2022 by upping that rate to 21.9 percent, posting a 7:6 BB:K through 33 plate appearances. Lux has stood out among Dodgers hitters thus far with a .320/.455/.560 slash line, three extra-base hits (a double, triple and homer), five RBI and two steals. His Statcast numbers support the authenticity of the strong start, as Lux ranks in the top 10 percent leaguewide in average exit velocity, hard-hit percentage and xwOBA.

Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Leading minors in homers
Gorman has slugged six home runs in 10 games to open the minor-league campaign with Triple-A Memphis, putting up a .351/.415/.838 line in the process.
That's the good news. The less-good news: Somehow, all six homers have come with nobody on base, and he's also managed to strike out 15 times in 41 plate appearances -- a 36.6 percent clip. Still just 21 years old, Gorman has time to develop, but he's increasingly looking like a one-dimensional hitter who sells out to hit the ball over the fence. That said, 30-homer power at second base (where Gorman has been moved in light of Nolan Arenado's presence above him and Jordan Walker's below him in the organization) certainly has fantasy value. Of course, Gorman's move to the right side of the infield hasn't gone all that smoothly, as he's made six errors in 23 games at second base dating back to last season.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Still looking for first hit
Guillorme got the start at second base Sunday and hit ninth, going 0-for-3 with a walk in a win over the Diamondbacks.
The 27-year-old utility infielder has seen action at three different positions already this season as Mets manager Buck Showalter tries to keep his starters fresh, but Guillorme's gone 0-for-12 with a pair of walks. Given his career .252/.348/.316 slash line, he would have minimal fantasy value even if he did find his way into a bigger role.

Luis Garcia 1B | NYY
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Fast start at Triple-A
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and three RBI for Triple-A Rochester on Sunday.
The 21-year-old was something of a surprise demotion this spring as the Nationals decided he needed more development time in the minors, but Garcia is doing everything he can to prove the club made a mistake. He has five multi-hit performances in his last six games for Rochester, and through 12 contests on the season he's slashing a stellar .377/.411/.623 with three doubles, two triple and two homers. Neither Cesar Hernandez (.250/.280/.250 through 50 plate appearances) nor Alcides Escobar (.156/.229/.188 through 35 PAs) have done much at the plate in the majors, so if Garcia keeps raking, he could get another chance in the majors soon enough.

Jorge Polanco DH | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Racking up free passes
Polanco went 0-for-3 with a walk in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Red Sox.
Polanco has produced only one hit over his last four games, but he's accrued four walks over that stretch to get on base at a .313 clip. The switch-hitting infielder's walk rate currently sits at a career-high 16.7 percent, but a career-worst 30.6 percent strikeout rate has played a large part in his average sitting at a paltry .200 through nine games. He'll be back in the lineup for Monday's Patriots' Day game in Boston, batting leadoff while manning second base, according to Dan Hayes of The Athletic.
