  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Day off against Giants

Rosario is not in the lineup versus San Francisco on Wednesday.

Rosario will receive a breather following seven straight starts, including an 0-for-4 showing during Tuesday's victory. In his place, Jack Reinheimer will draw a start at shortstop. Expect to see Rosario back in the lineup Thursday.

  • Nolan Gorman 3B | STL

Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Slugs two homers

Gorman went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI for Low-A Peoria in its 6-5 loss to Quad Cities on Monday.

The 18-year-old has tallied four home runs through his first 12 games at Peoria, bringing his season total to 15 after he previously raked with rookie-level Johnson City. True to his reputation heading into the 2018 first-year player draft, Gorman has showcased plenty of power in the lower rungs of the minors, but his poor contact rate bears watching. He's already struck out 21 times in 51 plate appearances (41.2 percent) with Peoria.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Stationed on bench

McNeil is not in the starting nine versus San Francisco on Monday.

McNeil will take up a spot on the pine after starting the past four games, during which he's gone 7-for-18 with three extra-base hits and three RBI. In his absence, Jose Reyes will man the keystone and bat sixth in the order. Look for McNeil to rejoin the lineup Tuesday.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Delivers walkoff homer

Frazier supplied a walkoff, pinch-hit solo home run in the Pirates' 2-1 victory over the Cubs on Sunday in 11 innings.

Though Frazier was out of the lineup for the third time in four games, it didn't prevent him from making an impact off the bench. He entered the contest in the bottom of the ninth and reached base after being hit by a pitch, then swapped in for Corey Dickerson in left field and delivered the decisive hit two innings later. Since being promoted from Triple-A Indianapolis in late July, Frazier is slashing .390/.422/.661 across 59 at-bats, but it doesn't look like he'll be in store for a full-time role with the Pirates committed to Josh Harrison as their everyday second baseman.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Finishes strong series against Phillies

Rosario went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Sunday's 8-2 win over Philadelphia.

In the five-game series against the Phillies, Rosario racked up 10 hits, seven RBI and eight runs scored. He's slashing .247/.290/.372 in 431 plate appearances this season. Rosario has also collected 14 stolen bases with 32 extra-base hits.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Homers, drives in three runs

Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 12-1 win over Seattle.

Hernandez's last home run came way back on July 20, the first game back from the All-Star break. This year, he's up to 18 long balls and 43 RBI as he continues setting new career highs in nearly every offensive category.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Seeing action versus lefties

Hernandez will start in center field and bat sixth Sunday against the Mariners, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Hernandez will remain in the lineup for the fifth time in six games, but all of those starts have come against left-handed pitching. The utility man still looks to be a short-side platoon man for the Dodgers, thereby hindering his rest-of-season fantasy outlook.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Collects first stolen base

McNeil went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Phillies.

McNeil added a key insurance run in the seventh inning after an RBI triple in the seventh pushed the lead to three. After being called up to the big leagues July 24, McNeil is batting .278 with seven extra-base hits and six RBI through 24 games with the Mets.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Collects four hits in big win

Rosario went 4-for-7 with a homer, a stolen base, three RBI and four runs scored in Thursday afternoon's 24-4 rout of the Phillies.

Rosario got the party started with a leadoff blast to begin the game and the Mets' offense never looked back. The 22-year-old shortstop now owns a .244 average with 31 extra-base hits, 14 stolen bags and 51 runs scored in 385 at-bats this season.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Not in Game 1 lineup

McNeil is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Thursday's twin bill versus Philadelphia.

McNeil will head to the bench after starting 10 of the past 11 games. In his place, Jose Reyes will man second base and bat seventh. Look for McNeil to rejoin the starting lineup for Game 2.
