Padres' Luis Urias: Scratched from Tuesday's lineup

Urias was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against Seattle, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

No reason for the scratch was announced. Javy Guerra will start in his place. Urias is expected to open the season as the Padres' shortstop. If he's forced to miss time at the start of the year, at-bats could be opened up for Guerra, Greg Garcia and/or Jose Pirela.

Mets' Amed Rosario: Won't play Tuesday

Rosario (hand) isn't included in the lineup Tuesday for the Mets' Grapefruit League game against the Marlins, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Rosario's absence doesn't come as a surprise after he took a pitch to the left hand during a plate appearance in Monday's game against the Rays. Fortunately for the young shortstop, X-rays on his hand returned negative, so he's merely dealing with some soreness and swelling that should dissipate within a few days.

Mets' Amed Rosario: Hand X-rays negative

Rosario does not have a fractured hand according to X-rays taken Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Rosario left Monday's game against the Rays after being hit in the hand by a pitch, but he appears to have escaped serious injury. He may require a day or two off with a bruise but is unlikely to miss an extended period.

Mets' Amed Rosario: Exits after hit by pitch

Rosario exited Monday's game against the Rays after being hit by a pitch in the left hand, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.

Rosario looked to be in some pain before exiting the game with a trainer. Andres Gimenez came on to pinch run for the shortstop. Rosario's status will be updated after he's further evaluated.

  • Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL

Brewers' Mauricio Dubon: Out another week

Dubon (illness) will be withheld from baseball duties for another week while he continues to regain some strength and weight, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

He's lost 15 pounds with this illness, so he is not yet back in playing shape. We already knew Dubon would open the year at Triple-A, so this does not affect his ability to make the club out of camp.

  • Gift Ngoepe 2B | TOR

Phillies' Gift Ngoepe: Arrives at spring training

Ngoepe arrived at Phillies camp Saturday morning, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Ngoepe's start to the spring was delayed by visa issues, but those have apparently been cleared up, and he is ready to make a push for a spot on the Phillies' Opening Day roster.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Back in action

McNeil (wrist) is in the lineup for Saturday's spring game against the Astros, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

McNeil was expected to play Saturday after missing the last couple days with his sore wrist, and it turns out he will do just that. McNeil will man left field and hit leadoff for the Mets.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Expected back Saturday

McNeil (wrist) is expected to return to action Saturday against the Astros, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.

McNeil was scratched from Wednesday's contest against the Marlins due to a left wrist laceration and has remained out since then. The issue wasn't expected to be a significant one, and he'll be back Saturday after missing three games. He's in the middle of a switch to the outfield, so the Mets will want him getting a good amount of game action this spring.

  • Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL

Brewers' Mauricio Dubon: Recovering from illness

Dubon should be released from the hospital Friday after a battle with an illness, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Dubon has been hospitalized for several days. He's reportedly been making progress, though it remains to be seen how many more days off he'll need after his hospitalization ends.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Sitting again Friday

McNeil (wrist) is not in the lineup for Friday's spring game against the Tigers, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

McNeil was scratched from Wednesday's lineup after scraping his wrist against the outfield wall Monday versus the Astros. The 26-year-old indicated he's not concerned about the injury but is nonetheless receiving a few days off to get healthy.
