Braves' Ozzie Albies: Smacks walkoff double

Albies went 2-for-5 with a walk, two doubles, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-7 extra-innings win over the Pirates.

The 22-year-old's second two-bagger of the night was the big one, as it brought Austin Riley home in the bottom of the 11th to win the game for Atlanta. Albies has quietly been on fire from the bottom of the order lately -- he's reached base safely in 18 of his last 19 games, slashing .313/.420/.537 with three homers, nine RBI, nine runs and a stellar 12:9 BB:K, but routinely hitting seventh or eighth hasn't done him any favors on the basepaths. Wednesday's steal was only his fifth of the year, and first since May 6.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Two-homer game in Double-A

Lux went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI for Double-A Tulsa on Wednesday.

Lux led off the game with a long ball before adding a two-run shot in the fifth inning to give him 13 homers on the season. He's been mashing all season for the Drillers, as this performance gives him a .305/.359/.538 slash line through 223 at-bats. He doesn't have much left to prove in Double-A, so a move to Triple-A Oklahoma City could be in the cards for the 21-year-old infielder at some point this summer.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

    Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Homers again

Marte went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Phillies.

Marte homered for a third straight game and now co-leads the team with 17 round trippers. He's already set a career high in that category, and with 47 RBI in 66 games, he's zeroing in on last year's career mark of 59. It's been a stellar first half for Marte, who is third among second basemen in All-Star voting.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Lifts third homer

McNeil went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in a 12-5 loss to the Yankees in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday.

McNeil staked the Mets to a 4-1 lead in the third inning as he homered to right center with two men on. Since his return from the injured list June 4, McNeil has gone 9-for-25 and has raised his already-impressive slash line to .337/.411/.468 for the season.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Gets involved in home-run fest

Marte went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run Monday in the Diamondbacks' 13-8 win over the Phillies.

Marte struck early for his 16th long ball of the season, with his big fly coming in the middle of the Diamondbacks' back-to-back-back home runs off Jerad Eickhoff to kick off the top of the first inning. After adding two base hits later in the night for good measure, Marte's OPS now rests at .851, 82 points above his career-best mark from 2018.

  • Andres Gimenez SS | TOR

    Mets' Andres Gimenez: X-rays negative

Gimenez's X-rays on his right hand and wrist were negative Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Gimenez was hit by a pitch last week and was placed on the 7-day injured list, but he appears to have escaped serious injury. He posted a .232/.305/.333 slash line in 45 games for Double-A Binghamton prior to the injury.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Goes yard twice

Albies went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Monday's win over the Pirates.

The 22-year-old ended a 32-game homer drought in the third inning then went yard again in the seventh, leading the charge in a five-HR, 13-run eruption for the Atlanta offense. Albies is now slashing .269/.336/.435 on the year with nine home runs, four steals, 28 RBI and 39 runs through 66 contests.

  • Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU

Mets' Luis Guillorme: Joins big club for twin bill

The Mets will recall Guillorme from Triple-A Syracuse to serve as the 26th man for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Yankees, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

With Robinson Cano (quadriceps) recently rejoining Jed Lowrie (hamstring) on the injured list, the Mets aren't brimming with infield depth and will bring Guillorme aboard to provide an extra option off the bench. Guillorme will likely head back to Triple-A at the conclusion of the twin bill.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Situated on bench

Frazier is not in the lineup Monday against the Braves.

Frazier will give way to Colin Moran at the keystone for Monday's series opener following a string of three consecutive starts. Since the start of June, Frazier is slashing .286/.355/.500 with two doubles, two triples and a 2:4 BB:K in eight games.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Sets new career best

Marte went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in an 8-2 victory against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

With this homer, Marte has already set a career high with his 15th homer, topping his previous high-water mark last season. As a result of all these home runs, Marte also owns a career-high .513 slugging percentage. He is batting .268 with 45 RBI, 39 runs and three steals in 261 at-bats this season.
