Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Sitting against lefty
Rojas is not in the starting lineup Friday at Colorado.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Keeps running wild
Estrada went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a hit-by-pitch in Thursday's 6-0 loss to the Cardinals.
This was the third game in a row with a steal for Estrada, who is up to eight thefts this season. The second baseman has also hit safely in nine of his last 10 contests, going 12-for-39 with six steals and nine runs scored in that span. He's posted a .326/.379/.505 slash line with four home runs, seven RBI and 19 runs scored over 103 plate appearances.

Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL
Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Picks up another steal
Kim went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base Thursday in a loss to the Cubs.
Kim has reached base five times in his past two games and has taken advantage on the basepaths with three thefts over that span. He's been an afterthought otherwise as a fantasy producer this season, slashing .220/.304/.341 with two homers and six RBI. Kim has at least managed to hold down the job at second base for San Diego, seeing action in 25 of the team's 27 games thus far.

Jorbit Vivas 2B | WAS
Dodgers' Jorbit Vivas: Thriving in Double-A
Vivas is slashing .391/.473/.766 with four home runs, 10 doubles, a triple, 14 runs, 12 RBI and three stolen bases through 16 games with Double-A Tulsa.
Vivas hasn't generally ranked among the Dodgers' top 10 prospects to this point, but that could change if he continues to hit the way he is now. The 21-year-old has started his first stint at Double-A with a 16-game hitting streak, knocking multiple hits in eight of those contests. Vivas had already flashed a strong hit tool and a sharp eye at the plate coming into 2023, hitting .286 through his first three years in the minors and consistently posting strikeout rates in the low-to-mid-teens. He had topped out at 14 homers across 477 plate appearances in 2021 but is already well above that pace with four long balls this season.

Garcia is not in the lineup Thursday against the Mets, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
Michael Chavis will start at second base and bat seventh with left-hander Joey Lucchesi on the mound for New York. Garcia is slashing just .209/.260/.328 through 73 total plate appearances this year with Washington.

Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM
Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Runs wild in Wednesday's win
Bae went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, one RBI and three stolen bases in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Dodgers.
The Pirates showed no mercy to Los Angeles catcher Austin Wynns, going a combined 6-for-6 on steal attempts, but Bae was the star of the track meet. The 23-year-old has five pilfers in the last two games against the Dodgers and is now 10-for-11 on the basepaths in 2023, tying him for second in the majors in steals behind Ronald Acuna's 13.

Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW
Dodgers' Miguel Vargas: Sitting out Thursday
Vargas is absent from the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game in Pittsburgh, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Mookie Betts will handle second base. Vargas is getting on base at a .372 clip thanks to 16 walks, but a .681 OPS and zero home runs have left something to be desired, although he did steal his first bag of the season Wednesday.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Records three hits, steals base
Estrada went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-3 victory over St. Louis.
Estrada has been a catalyst on offense all season for San Francisco, and Wednesday was no different. He reached base three times and recorded his ninth multi-hit effort through 23 games thus far. Estrada is slashing an impressive .326/.374/.511 with four homers, seven RBI and seven thefts through 99 plate appearances.
