Arraez (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

The Phillies will give Arraez the day off after he made an early exit in Saturday's 12-3 win due to cramping near his hamstring. Interim manager Don Mattingly hasn't suggested that Arraez is dealing with anything more serious, so the 29-year-old is trending toward a return to the lineup Monday in Seattle. Bryson Stott will get the nod at second base while Arraez sits for the first time since the Phillies acquired him from the Giants on Aug. 3.

Marte (knee) is throwing and doing upper-body work at the Diamondbacks' spring training facility Saturday, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Marte will add hitting to his rehab next week. The second baseman was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday and could rejoin the club Aug. 31, when the Diamondbacks open a homestand against the Phillies.

McLain went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and a second RBI in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

McLain has homered three times among nine hits over his last nine games, adding seven RBI and two steals in that span. The second baseman is inching closer to the Mendoza Line -- he's now hitting .198 with a .658 OPS on the year. He's added 13 homers, 35 RBI, 47 runs scored, 17 doubles and 15 stolen bases over 106 contests.

Norby went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a strikeout during Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Guardians.

Norby rocketed a solo shot off Cade Smith in the bottom of the ninth for his first homer as a Rockies player. Norby entered the game late after taking over for Kyle Karros in the sixth. The 26-year-old Norby extended his hitting streak to seven games, one short of his season high that he recorded in April with Miami. This year, Norby has slashed .215/.321/.351 with five long balls, 18 RBI and eight stolen bases over 265 plate appearances.

Wetherholt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 12-3 loss to the Phillies.

Wetherholt singled in the third inning before launching a 417-foot blast in the eighth. It snapped a 20-game power drought for the rookie, who's tallied four multi-hit efforts in his past eight contests but still owns a lowly .626 OPS in 20 August contests. For the year, he's slashing .243/.346/.377 with 17 homers, 47 RBI, 86 runs scored and 13 steals across 566 plate appearances.

Arraez was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to lower-body cramps, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Arraez went 1-for-2 with a run scored before being replaced by Bryson Stott at second base in the fourth inning. It doesn't appear to be a serious injury for Arraez, but the injury may prevent him from being in the lineup for Sunday's series finale.

Rojas isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Rojas is likely to see more time at second base going forward with Tommy Edman entering the mix for starts in center field while Andy Pages (hand) is out, but the Dodgers will keep Rojas on the bench Saturday while Edman starts at second base and Alek Thomas makes his Dodgers debut in center.

Nunez went 1-for-3 with two steals during the Nationals' 3-2 loss to the Marlins on Friday.

It was the sixth time this season (and first since July 19 against the Athletics) that Nunez has stolen two bases in a game, though he Nationals couldn't capitalize on that savvy baserunning to bring him home. Nunez leads the majors with 42 steals this season, with Chandler Simpson a distant second with 35 swipes. Nunez has a .568 OPS with 34 RBI and eight extra-base hits across 422 plate appearances in 2026.

The Cubs designated Miller for assignment Friday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

The move corresponds with the Cubs activating Daniel Palencia from the 60-day injured list. Miller's lone appearance in the majors came Monday against the White Sox, when he was brought in as a defensive substitute. He may stay within the Cubs' organization in Triple-A Iowa if he clears waivers.

Mayer (forearm) had his rehab assignment paused due to a bone bruise in his right foot, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Mayer will rest through the weekend before being re-evaluated early next week. He initially landed on the 10-day injured list in late June with a left forearm stress reaction while still with the Red Sox, before getting sent west at the trade deadline. The 23-year-old has played four rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento, going 6-for-17 with one home run and a 2:9 BB:K. Mayer had appeared in line to make his Giants debut early next week, but that plan is likely on hold.
