The Giants recalled Furman from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Furman is back up with the Giants after being demoted Aug. 14. He'll man second base and bat sixth during Monday's series opener after San Francisco made a flurry of roster moves, which included placing Willy Adames (elbow) on the injured list and Bryce Eldridge (personal) on the bereavement list.

Furman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With southpaw Nick Lodolo toeing the rubber for the Reds, Furman will head to the bench along with fellow left-handed batters Drew Gilbert, Jung Hoo Lee (elbow) and Drew Cavanaugh. Shay Whitcomb will step in at second base for Furman, who covered the keystone in the first two games of the series following his promotion from Triple-A Sacramento and went 1-for-5 with three strikeouts.

Furman was called up at the beginning of the month and is still looking for his first major-league hit, having gone 0-for-6 at the plate while playing sporadically. The 25-year-old will receive more regular reps back in Sacramento.

The Giants selected Furman's contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The move corresponds with the Giants placing Jesus Rodriguez (elbow) on the 10-day injured list. Furman has spent the entire 2026 season in Triple-A, where he is slashing .284/.370/.405 with 18 steals (in 23 chances), seven home runs, 42 RBI and 22 doubles across 434 plate appearances. His first appearance in a Giants' uniform will officially mark his major-league debut.
