Barreto will be called up to replace the injured Chad Pinder (knee) Saturday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Barreto got his first taste of the big leagues last season, struggling through 25 games with a .197/.250/.352 line and a 43.4 percent strikeout rate. The 22-year-old fared much better at Triple-A Nashville, hitting .290/.339/.456 in 111 games. He has the potential to one day hit for average and power while stealing a fair number of bases, though it remains to be seen whether he's big-league ready this time around. Barreto's stay with Oakland could be short, as Pinder's injury appears to be minor, but he could stick around if he impresses right away.

Manager Aaron Boone expressed concern over Drury's status and said that he will undergo "extensive tests" Monday to find a cause for the infielder's blurred vision and severe migraines, Wallace Matthews of The Athletic reports.

Drury was placed on the 10-day disabled list after leaving Friday's game in the sixth inning. Expect to see Miguel Andujar scoop up a fair share of the starts at the hot corner while Drury is sidelined.

Andrus went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Blue Jays.

Andrus is cruising out of the gate, having hit safely in eight of nine games with 13 hits in 35 at-bats (.371). After a brief flirtation as the leadoff hitter, Andrus is back in the three-hole, where, in theory, those hits can make more of an impact.

Drury was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with severe migraines.

He left Friday's 14-inning loss to the Orioles in the sixth inning due to impaired vision and a migraine, and while it didn't seem serious at the time, the fact he was placed on the DL is certainly cause for concern. Jace Peterson was called up from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre to help plug the gap, but it's Miguel Andujar who figures to see regular work at third base while Drury is out.

Solarte went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and three walks as the Blue Jays topped the Rangers 8-5 on Friday.

The 30-year-old infielder reached base in all five of his plate appearances and now has a .407 on-base percentage that's contributed to a lofty 1.044 OPS through 22 at-bats. Those numbers are a far cry from the .327 OBP and .747 OPS he's averaged over his five big-league seasons, however, so his stats are likely to even out back towards those levels as the season progresses.

Drury exited Friday's 14-inning loss to the Orioles due to impaired vision and a migraine, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The 24-year-old went 0-for-2 prior to being replaced by Ronald Torreyes in the bottom of the sixth inning. Drury will likely be further evaluated Saturday and should be considered day-to-day.

Chavis (oblique) was suspended for 80 games after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

The top prospect in Boston's organization will miss a large chunk of the 2018 season due to a positive test for Dehydrochlormethyltestosterone. He has also been battling an oblique injury since late Feburary, which forced the 22-year-old to the 7-day minor-league disabled list earlier this week. Upon his return, Chavis will begin his season at Double-A Portland.

Semien went 1-for-5 with a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Rangers.

Semien extended his hit streak to four games and he appears to be locked in as the Athletics' leadoff hitter. The San Francisco native's 12 strikeouts in 34 at-bats is concerning, as this sample size, albeit small, suggests Semien hasn't improved on his 22 percent strikeout rate from 2017. Still, the 27-year-old bats first for a team that has the most aggregate hits across the league so far in 2018, meaning Semien should be a solid source for runs and RBI.

Drury is out of the lineup against the Orioles on Thursday.

Drury will head to the bench for a standard day off as Miguel Andujar gets a start at the hot corner. Through six games, Drury is hitting .250 with an .825 OPS. Expect to see him back in the lineup for Friday's game.

Estrada (hip) will open the season on the disabled list at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, MLB.com's Jim Callis reports.

He is still recovering from a gunshot wound in his right hip from a robbery attempt this winter in Venezuela. It's noteworthy that he will open the year at Triple-A, as he had previously never played above Double-A. Estrada is a great real life depth piece, as he is a quality infield defender who excels at making contact. Unfortunately, his power and speed tools are a little light for him to realistically project as a decent fantasy option, unless he ends up being a .300 hitter in the big leagues. He is also blocked by better young players at every position in New York, so a trade would help his value in deep leagues.
