Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Rays' Christian Arroyo: Activated from minor-league DL
Arroyo (concussion) was activated from the disabled list at Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. He went 0-for-3 with a walk in a loss to Pawtucket.
Arroyo sustained a concussion after taking a pitch to the helmet July 29. The 23-year-old generated a solid .264/.339/.396 line with the Rays over 20 games earlier in the season, but he's been markedly less successful with the Bulls -- factoring in Thursday's contest, he's slashing a pedestrian .210/.274/.339 over 33 games.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Blue Jays' Yangervis Solarte: Begins rehab exercises
Solarte (oblique) is receiving treatment and recently began rehab exercises, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Solarte landed on the disabled list over the weekend with a Grade 2 oblique strain. Given how difficult oblique injuries tend to be, it's tough to establish a concrete return timeline. He's set to be reevaluated at the beginning of September. Russell Martin and Aledmys Diaz are seeing time at third base with Solarte and Josh Donaldson (calf) both on the mend.

Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD
Twins' Logan Forsythe: Hitting second Thursday
Forsythe is hitting second and starting at second base Thursday against the Tigers.
Forsythe will jump to second in the order with Eddie Rosario on the bench for Thursday's series opener. While he isn't likely to replace Rosario as the team's No. 2 hitter, Forsythe could start to see more favorable placement in the lineup if he continues to produce for the Twins (.386/.449/.432 slash line in 13 games with Minnesota).

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Gets sixth start in seven games
Lowe will start at second base and bat eighth Thursday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
With Matt Duffy getting the day off, Lowe will enter the lineup for the sixth time in seven games. Lowe, who recorded the first two hits and RBI of his career in Wednesday's 6-1 win, has seen most of his action primarily in left field since being recalled from Triple-A Durham on Aug. 4. The 24-year-old may have a more difficult time picking up starts in the outfield going forward, however, after the Rays activated Tommy Pham (foot) from the 10-day disabled list Thursday.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Takes batting practice
Altuve (knee) participated in batting practice, took groundballs and ran the field prior to Wednesday's game, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Altuve will do more rehab during Thursday's off day. These are encouraging signs of progress, although Altuve does not have a set timetable for his return. Astros manager A.J. Hinch has not ruled out bringing Altuve on the team's road trip that begins Friday in Oakland and then Seattle after that.

Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD
Twins' Logan Forsythe: Continues to produce for new club
Forsythe went 2-for-3 with a walk, a pair of singles, three RBI and one run scored during Wednesday's win over the Pirates.
Forsythe tied the score at 1-1 in the second inning with an RBI single before putting the Twins up for good in the sixth with a two-run knock. The veteran second baseman has done nothing but hit since joining the Twins, slashing an impressive .386/.449/.432 through 13 games.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Set for BP appearance Wednesday
Altuve (knee) will take the field for batting practice prior to Wednesday's game, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
The Astros have yet to remark on any sort of timetable for Altuve, but this is another key step forward after he progressed to running on a treadmill in recent days. In addition, manager A.J. Hinch said Altuve was able to take groundballs and ran the bases Wednesday, but was non-committal when asked whether the second baseman will join the club on its upcoming three-city road trip starting Friday.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Torres is out of the lineup against the Rays on Wednesday.
Torres will head to the bench following five straight starts, during which he went just 1-for-21 (.048 average) with seven strikeouts. In his place, Ronald Torreyes will man the keystone and bat ninth.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Athletics' Marcus Semien: Goes yard in win
Semien went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.
Semien led off the home half of the first with his 10th home run of the season, then later made it a multi-hit day with an infield single in the fifth. The 27-year-old has tallied four multi-hit efforts over the past six games and has been red hot since the calendar flipped to August; over 42 at-bats in the month, Semien is slashing .357/.413/.619 with three homers and a pair of steals.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Drives in two, scores two
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.
Polanco slashed a two-run single in the fourth inning and later recorded his ninth double of the year. Polanco has registered a hit in all but two games so far in August, and is hitting .286/.355/.400 in 37 games this season. The 25-year-old has one home run, two triples, 15 RBI and 19 runs on the year, while also going 4-for-6 on the basepaths.
