Vidal Brujan SS | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Returns to Charlotte
Brujan (undisclosed) returned to action with High-A Charlotte on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI.
The 21-year-old missed close to a month, but he picked up right where he left off, collecting multiple hits for the 13th time in 40 games this season. He is now slashing .297/.367/.399 with 22 stolen bases in 27 attempts. That speed and his stellar bat-to-ball skills make up for what is only modest power and put Brujan pretty easily among the top 50 prospects for dynasty leagues. It seems likely that he will be challenged with a move up to Double-A later this summer.

Jack Mayfield 2B | LAA
Astros' Jack Mayfield: Could stay in MLB through break
Mayfield could serve as the Astros' utility infielder through the All-Star break, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The Astros announced that starting shortstop Carlos Correa (ribs) and backup utility infielder Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) will not return before the break, which opens an opportunity for Mayfield to stick around for the next few weeks. Mayfield is not expected to get consistent at-bats, as Astros manager AJ Hinch often deploys Alex Bregman as the primary shortstop and has Jose Altuve back from injury to play second base.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Homers again
Torres went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Astros.
Torres took Framber Valdez deep in the fourth inning to record his 17th homer of the season. It was his second long ball in as many days, accounting for seven RBI and four runs scored in that span. He's maintained an impressive .287/.347/.535 line across 289 plate appearances for the season.

Luis Rengifo 3B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Smashes second homer
Rengifo went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored Thursday against the Blue Jays.
Rengifo slugged a two-run homer to left field in the second inning, and he cut his team's deficit to one in the sixth by singling home a run, his third RBI of the night. The 22-year-old has now registered two or more hits in each of his last three contests, and he's reached base safely in five straight.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Athletics' Marcus Semien: Remains hot at plate
Semien went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run in a win over the Orioles on Wednesday.
Semien's outstanding June continued Wednesday, with the shortstop generating his sixth multi-hit effort of the month. The veteran now has a 16-game hitting streak and has compiled 21 of his 29 extra-base hits on the season while operating out of the leadoff spot.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Red Sox's Michael Chavis: Quietly heating up
Chavis went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Wednesday's 9-4 win over the Twins.
Chavis has emerged from his first taste of adversity at the MLB level and has hit safely in nine straight games, going 13-for-41 (.317) with two home runs, six RBI and seven runs scored during that stretch. His streak has been timely as Boston's offense overall has improved while the team has won seven of its last eight games. After getting his MLB career off to a blazing start, the infielder was mired in a 20-game slump in which he batted just .181. He'll continue to get at-bats as the starting first baseman but could eventually slot in as the primary second baseman when Mitch Moreland (quadriceps) and Steve Pearce (back) return.

Harold Castro 2B | KC
Tigers' Harold Castro: Collects two hits, first home run
Castro went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Pirates.
Castro singled home a run in the first inning, then followed a Brandon Dixon two-run shot in the third with a solo home run of his own, the first of his MLB career. The 25-year-old has been getting fairly regular playing time lately, and he's slashing .263/.295/.386 through 57 at-bats.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Clubs grand slam
Torres went 1-for-3 with a grand slam home run, a walk and two runs in Wednesday's 12-1 win over the Rays.
The Yankees already held an 8-1 lead when Torres came to the plate with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, but he put the finishing touches on the victory with his 390-foot blast to right-center field. The young shortstop has an .869 OPS with 16 home runs in 68 games this season.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Gets day off
Polanco is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox.
Polanco will head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off after playing all 17 innings during Tuesday's 4-3 win, going 1-for-8 in the process. Luis Arraez is starting at shortstop in place of Polanco on Wednesday.

Jack Mayfield 2B | LAA
Astros' Jack Mayfield: Benched again
Mayfield remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Mayfield will be on the bench for a third straight game with manager AJ Hinch having seemingly settled on Alex Bregman and Yuli Gurriel as the Astros' regular options on the left side of the infield. Though Mayfield was instrumental in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays with three doubles and three runs, he's recorded just three hits in his other 39 at-bats since receiving a callup from Triple-A Round Rock in late May.
