Jose Caballero SS | NYY
Mariners' Jose Caballero: Shipped to Seattle
Caballero was traded from the Diamondbacks to the Mariners on Wednesday in exchange for Mike Leake.
Caballero has appeared in 43 games for High-A Visalia this season, posting a .268/.388/.396 slash line with three home runs and 28 stolen bases. Per Greg Johns of MLB.com, the 22-year-old is recovering from a wrist injury and will head to the Arizona Rookie League to rehab before joining High-A Modesto when fully healthy.

Harold Castro 2B | KC
Tigers' Harold Castro: Day off Wednesday
Castro is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Angels, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Castro had started 15 of the last 17 games, appearing at five different positions. He's hit a respectable .313/.320/.424 over his last 24 contests.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Pushes average above .300
Altuve went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Indians.
Altuve entered the All-Star break hitting just .262, but he has multiple hits in 11 of the 17 games since. He's batting .411 (30-for-73) over that stretch to push his average to .300, its highest point since April 16. That run has included six home runs and 16 RBI. One of the league's finest hitters appears to have found himself after dealing with a hamstring injury that lingered since May.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Red Sox's Michael Chavis: Sitting Tuesday
Chavis is not starting Tuesday against the Rays, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Chavis finds himself on the bench for the second game in a row. He's slumped to a .633 OPS over his last 16 games. Brock Holt starts at second base in his absence.

Cavan Biggio RF | HOU
Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Swats eighth homer
Biggio went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over the Royals.
While all eyes were on Bo Bichette in his big-league debut, fellow second-generation prospect Biggio was the offensive star for the Jays from the leadoff spot. With Eric Sogard now in Tampa Bay, Biggio figures to get a long look at the top of the order. The 24-year-old rookie has struggled to make contact in the majors, but his .216/.347/.386 slash line with eight homers and seven steals through 52 games suggests he has the skills to handle setting the table.

Luis Rengifo 3B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Sitting again Monday
Rengifo is not in the lineup Monday against the Tigers.
Rengifo will take a seat on the bench for a second straight game as Matt Thaiss picks up another start in his stead. The infielder is slashing just .249/.324/.371 through 67 games this season.

Whit Merrifield 2B | ATL
Royals' Whit Merrifield: Notches two more hits
Merrifield went 2-for-5 with a double and run Sunday in the Royals' 9-6 win over the Indians.
With two more hits, the All-Star boosted his season total to 136, trailing only Boston's Rafael Devers (138) for the major-league lead. Merrifield's lack of involvement on the basepaths of late -- he's nabbed just two stolen bases thus far in the second half -- might be a source of frustration for fantasy managers that drafted him with visions of a third straight 30-plus-steal season, but it's difficult to quibble with the all-around production he's offered to this point.
-
Nicky Lopez 3B | CHC
Royals' Nicky Lopez: Heads to bench
Lopez is not starting Monday against the Blue Jays.
Lopez has shifted over to shortstop with Adalberto Mondesi on the injured list with a shoulder injury. He's recorded a poor .552 OPS on the season and a .415 mark in the month of July, though, so he may not be able to hold down an everyday spot. He'll sit in favor of Humberto Arteaga (and his .471 OPS) on Monday.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Remains without timetable
Lowe (shin) continues to work out but remains without a timetable for his return, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe has been out of action for just shy of four weeks after fouling a ball off his shin back on July 2, an oddly long time to be sidelined for a bruise. He received a shot last week and reported feeling better on Friday after being shut down for a few days. The Rays acquired Eric Sogard on Sunday, possibly due to their uncertainty over Lowe's timetable.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Athletics' Marcus Semien: Knocks 17th homer
Semien went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, two runs scored and two walks in Sunday's 6-5 win over Texas.
Semien's third-inning homer got the game's scoring started. He'd later score the walkoff run on a bases-loaded walk to Khris Davis. The 28-year-old shortstop owns a career-high .814 OPS with 45 extra-base hits on the year.
