Rays' Brandon Lowe: Successful as DH in rehab game
Lowe (lower leg) went 1-for-3 with a two-run double, a hit by pitch and two runs in High-A Charlotte's win over St. Lucie on Sunday.
Lowe put in a full game as the designated hitter while bouncing back from an 0-for-3 stint at the plate in Saturday's debut with the Stone Crabs. The recovering infielder is slated to to be reevaluated by the Rays' medical staff Monday before likely moving his rehab assignment to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Athletics' Marcus Semien: Slugs 21st homer
Semien went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a loss to the Astros on Sunday.
Semien's 383-foot shot to right off Zack Greinke in the fourth opened the scoring on the afternoon for both clubs, but it ultimately served as the Athletics' only run. The veteran shortstop has left the yard twice in the last three games and is slashing a career-best .271/.357/.476 across 575 plate appearances.

Tigers' Harold Castro: Delivers fourth homer
Castro went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBI in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Castro left the yard in the first inning, depositing a ball over the fence in left field for a two-run blast. He would plate another run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly to center, though the Tigers would fall 5-4 in the series finale. Through 63 games this season, Castro is batting .283 with four homers, 28 RBI and three stolen bases.

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Drives in three runs
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 6-3 over Texas.
After a bit of a slow start to August, Polanco went 7-for-19 (.368) with four runs scored and four RBI during the four-game set against Texas. The All-Star shortstop has 55 extra-base hits and .844 OPS in his breakout 2019 season.

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Breaks out with three hits
Polanco went 3-for-5 with a double, walk and a run scored Saturday in the Twins' 12-7 win over the Rangers.
Polanco entered the day slashing just .224/.308/.310 in August, so fantasy managers had to be heartened by him reaching base four times while pounding out three hits. He'll be in the lineup again Sunday for the series finale, playing shortstop and batting third.

Blue Jays' Forrest Wall: Promoted to Triple-A
Wall was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
Wall hit .270 with 27 doubles, nine home runs, 13 steals (on 21 attempts) and a 109:49 K:BB in 109 games at Double-A. He is not on the 40-man roster, so it is unlikely that he makes his big-league debut until 2020.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Moves rehab to High-A
Lowe (lower leg) went 0-for-3 with a walk while logging six innings at second base in HIgh-A Charlotte's win over St. Lucie on Saturday.
It was Lowe's first of two scheduled games with the Stone Crabs after he made the first two appearances of his assignment with the Gulf Coast League Rays. Lowe is slated to be reevaluated Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports, at which point he's likely to head to Triple-A Durham to continue his rehab.

Yankees' Thairo Estrada: Joins ever-growing IL
The Yankees placed Estrada on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right hamstring strain.
Tyler Wade was summoned from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move while Estrada becomes the 28th different Yankees player to land on the IL this season. After being called up from Triple-A earlier in the week, Estrada appeared in three games with New York, going hitless across seven at-bats. He'll be eligible to return from the IL on Aug. 28, but the Yankees could elect to wait until the roster expands Sept. 1 before bringing him back, health permitting.

Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Cranks two solo homers
Torres went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in the a 6-5 victory over the Indians on Saturday.
Torres has seven multi-homer games and 29 total home runs this season. The 22-year-old lifted his first shot out to right field in the fourth inning off Zach Plesac to increase the lead to 4-2 and then smashed another round-tripper to left off Nick Wittgren in the sixth to restore the lead to two runs at 6-4. Torres is slashing .284/.348/.537 with 73 RBI in 423 at-bats this season.

Tigers' Harold Castro: Out of Saturday's lineup
Castro is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rays.
He is hitting .246 with one home run and one steal in 57 at-bats this month. Niko Goodrum will start at second base, hitting cleanup.
