    Andrus' long-awaited renaissance at the plate continued in the big win for Oakland, as the veteran shortstop reached safely for the sixth time in the last seven starts. Andrus boasts an outstanding .409/.480/.500 slash line over that stretch, although he remains without a home run through 185 plate appearances.

    Altuve went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and three walks in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Boston.

    The second baseman led off Houston's half of the first inning with a 435-foot homer to give the Astros a lead they did not relinquish. He also reached base via walk three times, pushing his season OBP to .369. Altuve also has eight home runs and 24 RBI as part of a bounceback campaign during which he has posted a .841 OPS -- over 200 points better than his 2020 mark.

    Merrifield went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-5 win over Pittsburgh.

    While he's been a solid hitter all year, Merrifield has picked up the pace with three multi-hit efforts in the last five games. He's gone 8-for-24 with two stolen bases, five RBI and seven runs scored in that span. Kansas City's leadoff hitter is slashing .259/.320/.380 with a league-leading 16 steals, four home runs, 29 RBI and 35 runs scored in 53 games overall.

    Indians' Amed Rosario: Two runs in win

    Rosario went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

    Rosario extended his hitting streak to five games (6-for-16). The shortstop's modest hot streak has his season slash line up to .253/.322/.380. He's added three home runs, five stolen bases, 14 RBI and 23 runs scored through 174 plate appearances.

    Athletics' Tony Kemp: Laces three hits

    Kemp went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and five RBI in a 12-6 triumph over the Mariners on Tuesday.

    After recording a third-inning strikeout, Kemp followed with a double in the fifth, a sac fly in the seventh, a two-run home run in the eighth and a single in the ninth. This was Kemp's first three-hit game of the year, and it brought his average up to .280 from .256.

    Angels' Kean Wong: On bench Tuesday

    Wong isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Giants, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

    Wong had started each of the last three games, going 3-for-11 with a triple, a double and three strikeouts. Phil Gosselin will start at second base and bat second.

    Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Considered day-to-day

    Manager Charlie Montoyo said Tuesday that Biggio (neck) is still considered day-to-day, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

    Biggio has been on the 10-day injured list since May 22 due to a cervical spine ligament sprain, but he'll miss more than the minimum amount of time. While he won't be reinstated Tuesday, the team continues to monitor his progress daily. Santiago Espinal and Joe Panik have been handling the duties at third base in Biggio's absence.

    Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Sitting Tuesday

    Torres is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

    Torres has struggled at the plate over the last seven games, collecting just three hits (zero XBH) across 24 at-bats. He'll take a seat Tuesday as Gio Urshela slides over to shortstop and DJ LeMahieu mans the hot corner.
