Bazzana is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Bazzana will head to the bench for just the second time since his April 28 call-up from Triple-A Columbus, clearing the way for Daniel Schneemann to pick up a start at the keystone. Over his first 19 big-league games, Bazzana has held his own at the dish, slashing .299/.427/.403 with two home runs, seven stolen bases, 10 runs and nine RBI. The Guardians have rewarded Bazzana for his early success by moving him up in the batting order; he's made three of his last four starts out of the No. 5 spot after mostly batting sixth or seventh prior to that.

Massey is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

He'll hit the bench for the second day in a row while the Red Sox send another lefty starter (Connelly Early) to the hill. Nick Loftin will pick up a start at second base in place of Massey.

Holliday is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

With the Orioles wrapping up their series in St. Petersburg with a day game after a night game, Holliday will get a breather. The 22-year-old returned from the injured list Monday and rejoined the lineup for Tuesday's 4-1 loss in what was his 2026 MLB debut. Holliday started at second base and went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before Jeremiah Jackson came on pinch hit for him in the top of the eighth inning.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Tuesday that Torres (oblique) is "still day-to-day" and "not ready" to begin a minor-league rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Though Hinch had expressed optimism in recent days that Torres was closing in on a return to game action, the Tigers apparently still want the veteran infielder to complete some more workouts before sending him out on an assignment. Torres doesn't seem to be dealing with any sort of setback in his recovery from a left oblique strain, as he was spotted on the field at Comerica Park on Tuesday going through an assortment of defensive drills in addition to some light hitting and running. Zach McKinstry and Hao-Yu Lee are likely to work in a platoon at second base until Torres is ready to return from the injured list.

Tampa Bay placed Williamson on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to a low back strain, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Williamson's stint on the IL will be retroactive to Sunday, as he hadn't played since Friday while tending to the back injury. Tampa Bay added Oliver Dunn to the 26-man active roster in a corresponding move to bolster their infield depth, but Carson Williams is the most likely candidate to serve as Williamson's replacement as the right-handed-hitting option of a platoon at second base with Richie Palacios.

Bazzana went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Tigers.

The rookie second baseman hooked a Keider Montero changeup over the wall in the right-field corner in the fourth inning, one of only four hits the Guardians managed on the night. The homer was Bazzana's second in his first 19 big-league games, and his top-of-the-order skill set has been on full display, as he's slashing .299/.427/.403 with seven steals, nine RBI, 10 runs and a 13:13 BB:K. He's working on a six-game hit streak.

Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI against Colorado on Tuesday in a 10-0 win.

Duran made another start at shortstop in place of the injured Corey Seager (back) before shifting over to third base late in the game. The utility man opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning and added another two-run double to cap the scoring in the eighth. Duran has gone 6-for-9 with six RBI over his past two games and is hitting .308 with two homers, six doubles, 11 runs, 13 RBI and a stolen base through 17 contests in May.

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.

Keaschall has an .813 OPS with an 11:10 BB:K through 15 games in May but will take a seat for Tuesday's contest. Byron Buxton (hip) is serving as the designated hitter, pushing Josh Bell to first base and Kody Clemens to second.

Clement has strep throat and is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Clement started the previous 15 games but will hit the bench after feeling the strep symptoms come on Monday. Davis Schneider is stepping in at second base Tuesday for Toronto.

Holliday will start at second base and bat seventh in Tuesday's game versus the Rays.

Holliday will be making his season debut for the Orioles after undergoing surgery in February to repair a fractured right hamate bone and then encountering multiple setbacks along the way. Per Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com, Holliday said he still feels a bit of soreness in his hand, but he's been told that it's not a concern and will eventually go away. Holliday was the Orioles' leadoff hitter for the bulk of last season, but he will slide into the No. 7 spot as the club eases him back into the mix. The 22-year-old slashed just .176/.291/.284 on his rehab assignment, though he reached base seven times and had one home run in his final four rehab games.
